Easter — A Time to Rejoice! The empty tomb gives way to the joyful appearances of the Risen Jesus to his followers. It reminds us that the darkness of Good Friday always gives way to Easter Joy. We accompany Jesus in his suffering and death but always living in this world with our hearts filled with hope of the world to come! We have had a busy time since Christmas with the celebration of the World Day of the Sick in our Parish on 12th February. Bishop Ray Field came to thank us for this on Sunday 12th March and unveil the plaque in our Prayer Chapel. (a few photos below to mark the occasion!) My thanks to all who helped in any way. I hope you can join us to celebrate the great events of Easter and that the Risen Lord may brighten your hearts as he did for the disciples on the Road to Emmaus. “Did not our hearts burn within us as he talked to us on the way and explained the Scriptures to us — yes it is true, the Lord has risen!” (Luke 24:32-34) On behalf of Fr. Gareth and all in St. Gabriel’s may I wish you and your families a Happy and Joyful Easter. Fr. Pat Fr. Pat McManus: 01-8057692; 087 2371089; St. Gabriel’s Golf Classic Fr.
