Not since the time of the Norse (proto-Germanic) People crossing together with the Jewish population of Rome in Britain has a union resulted in such a perfect th st admixture, UNTIL the emergence of North America (17 -21 centuries). • Descendants of Paramund
Descendants of Paramund Generation 1 1. PARAMUND was born in 370 AD in Westphalia, Germany. He died in 430 AD in Rhine River Valley, Germany. He married ARGOTTA. She was born in 376 AD in France. She died in 432 AD in Rhine River Valley, Germany. Notes for Paramund: Paramund was born about 370 AM in Westphalia, Germany. He died about 430 AD at Rhine River Valley, Germany. Paramund is the 25th great grandfather of Louis, husband of Eleanor of Aquitaine (1123-1204), the 14th great grandmother of Edward Southworth, the husband of Alice Carpenter, my 7th great grandmother. What is the significance of following this line? First of all, he is a ling through which descendants flow through the Westmoreland family into which our daughter, Tiffany Lenn Sharpe Westmoreland married when she married Steve O. Westmoreland. Tiffany's mother- in-law, Betty Katherine Covington Westmoreland, generously provided for me most of this genealogical information, and my appreciation of her is great for that. There are some interesting people in that line. Here are the interesting people in that line. This descendants’ line from Paramund of Germany contains 59 generations coming down to our contemporary family, down to our Westmoreland grandchildren. This line comes through our son-in-law’s connections. Notable names most people may recognize include Charles “The Hammer” Martel (686-741), Mayor of the Palace, ruling the Franks, and best remembered winning the Battle of Tours in 732, a battle that halted the Islamic expansion in Europe at that time. William the Conqueror is best known for leading the Normans from France across the English Channel to conquer England and to have himself crowned King of England in 1066.

They would fill her bonnet full of coals and put it by the fireside, complain of the money she spent on towels, bed spreads etc. Which had the army emblem woven on them. • ROBERT II KING of FRANCE (Pg
pg 1/2 Robert Capet II King of France Born: 27 Mar 972 FRA Married: Constance de Toulouse Died: 20 July 1031 FRA Parents: Hugues Capet & Adelaide of Aquitaine Robert II (27 March 972 – 20 July 1031), called the Pious or the Wise, was King of France from 996 until his death. The second reigning member of the House of Capet, he was born in Orléans to Hugh Capet and Adelaide of Aquitaine. Co-rule with father Immediately after his own coronation, Robert's father Hugh began to push for the coronation of Robert. "The essential means by which the early Capetians were seen to have kept the throne in their family was through the association of the eldest surviving son in the royalty during the father's lifetime," Andrew W. Lewis has observed, in tracing the phenomenon in this line of kings who lacked dynastic legitimacy.[1] Hugh's claimed reason was that he was planning an expedition against the Moorish armies harassing Borrel II of Barcelona, an invasion which never occurred, and that the stability of the country necessitated a co-king, should he die while on expedition.[2] Ralph Glaber, however, attributes Hugh's request to his old age and inability to control the nobility.[3] Modern scholarship has largely imputed to Hugh the motive of establishing a dynasty against the claims of electoral power on the part of the aristocracy, but this is not the typical view of contemporaries and even some modern scholars have been less sceptical of Hugh's "plan" to campaign in Spain.[4] Robert was eventually crowned on 30 December 987.

This project has been a labor of love and hate and it would not have been possible without the support of my family and colleagues. First to Dr. Mary Shenk, my advisor who took me under her wing, the wide-eyed woman from Indiana who really was not aware of what she had just gotten herself into. She allowed me to work with her for the last ten years and dedicated countless hours to re-teaching me statistics, reviewing too many dissertation revisions to count, and maintaining her patience as life happened in my little slice of Indiana.

  • Our Warren Ancestors
Chapter 21 Our Warren Ancestors Introduction My paternal grandmother was Kate Cameron Burks (1873-1954). Kate’s mother was Mary Jane Crawford (1837-1902), and Kate’s maternal grandmother was Elmony Lester (1815-1855).1 Elmony Lester’s mother was Rachel West (1788-1860), and Rachel’s pedigree is shown below: Rachel’s mother was Rosanna Lewis (1752-1818) and her maternal grandmother was Priscilla Brooks (1725-1797). Priscilla’s mother was Elizabeth Warren (1703-1735). Elizabeth appears in the red rectangle in the lower-right corner of the pedigree chart shown on the previous page. If you have counted the 1 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4632783/ElmonyLester-14Apr16.pdf generations correctly, you should have figured out that Elizabeth Warren was my 6th-great grandmother. Having nothing better to do one day, I decided to see how far back I could go on the Warren line. And of course, that led to several weeks of research and writing about this interesting branch of the “Quincy Oakley” family. The remainder of this narrative is about our Warren ancestors, who lived in England for many centuries, and before that, in France. And I learned that we have some amazing ancestors in our Warren line! DNA Evidence Elizabeth Warren’s parents were Thomas Warren (1682-1749) and Mary Hackley (1684-1750). In my earlier narrative about our Warner ancestors in Virginia,2 I wrote that I had four DNA matches with living descendants of this couple. Since that time, I learned about four more DNA matches that I have with living descendants of this couple.

  • The Royal Lineages ______
    ■ Wilson Family History HOME PAGE: http://mineralogicalrecord.com/wilson/family.asp ■ The Royal Lineages ________________________________________________________________________ It has been said that, if accurate genealogies were universally available, just about everyone of white skin and European extraction could trace a direct line of ancestry back to the Emperor Charlemagne (747-814). The centuries of intermarriage have, one way or another, tied everyone together. Consequently, one cannot really feel privileged by virtue of having traced a personal line of royal lineage. This may be disappointing to those with aristocratic or classist pretensions, whose only motivation for genealogical research is to find a documented excuse to feel superior. However, there are ample other fascinations in distant genealogy to hold our interest, personal aggrandizement aside. The main virtue is that it helps us to feel a part of history, to really (literally) relate to times past and to the people who lived their lives in those times. Most people not involved in historical or genealogical research are quite surprised (and somewhat skeptical) to learn that so much is known about medieval genealogies, even going back to Roman times. It must be remembered that, in those days, personal lineage was one of the few things considered worth recording and preserving. Many potential rewards and advantages were bestowed on the basis of birthright, sometimes many generations removed. The possibility of a hereditary windfall involving titles, lands, privileges,

After several years of correspondence, research and study, I now place in possession of my cousins all that I am able to ascer tain from authentic records and writings, relative to the historical lineage of our common ancestor, LIEUTENANT THOMAS TRACY of Norwich, Connecticut. The recent publication and indexing of many of the old British records has revealed much which hitherto has been hidden, and has aided very much in the compilation of the work. But the book is, nevertheless, inco, mplete, as many of the lines of descent have been lost in the mists of the past. The subject, however, has not been completely exhausted. In fact, this book is only a beginning. By diligently continuing the research, some other line, or lines, might, perhaps, be traced back to other distin guished historical characters, and other facts and incidents relat ing to the subject may be discovered.
