The New Mexico Film Office Announces Three Productions Recently Filmed in New Mexico

SANTA FE, N.M. – The New Mexico Film Office today announced three feature films shot in New Mexico. Vengeance, Cop Shop, and Intrusion completed production in recent months in New Mexico.

The feature Vengeance produced by Blumhouse, was filmed in Albuquerque in November 2020.

Vengeance employed over 100 New Mexico crew members, over 20 New Mexico principal actors and over 50 background talent.

B.J. Novak (The Office, Inglorious Basterds, Saving Mr. Banks) wrote and directed the film. The film’s logline is being kept under wraps. Jason Blum (Halloween, The Invisible Man), Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilteath are producing. Leigh Kilton-Smith, Chris Warner, and Novak are executive producers. Vengeance is a Blumhouse Production in association with Divide/Conquer.

The feature Cop Shop is directed by Joe Carnahan (The A-Team, Smokin’ Aces) and produced by Warren Goz (The Marksman) and Eric Gold (The Marksman), was filmed in Albuquerque in November 2020.

Principal cast includes Gerard Butler (300, The Bounty Hunter) and (The Grey, Captain America).

Cop Shop employed over 50 New Mexico crew members, approximately 25 New Mexico principal actors and 30 background talent.

After a crime syndicate fixer gets himself intentionally incarcerated, arresting officer Valerie Young must piece together the nefarious puzzle that put him there, before evil forces converge and threaten them all.

The Netflix feature Intrusion is directed by Adam Salky (I Smile Back, Dare) and produced by Kyle Benn, Josh Weinstock, Alexandra Milchan, and Matthew Myers was filmed in Albuquerque in October, November, and December of 2020.

Principal cast includes Logan Marshall-Green (Spider-Man: Homecoming) and Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire).

Intrusion employed over 130 New Mexico crew members, approximately 30 New Mexico principal actors and over 130 background talent.

A couple’s home is invaded one night and the husband shoots all 3 Intruders. As they try to move on with their lives, the wife discovers that her husband was connected to the dated men and may have been involved in the disappearance of one of the men’s daughter.

All film and television productions in New Mexico are required to adhere to the state’s operative emergency public health order, associated public health restrictions and COVID Safe Practices. Those restrictions include but are not limited to the adherence to occupancy maximums, the maintaining of a six-foot distance between individuals, wearing masks at all times, daily disinfection, symptom screenings, and more.
