Peterborough Pride 2018 Welcome to Peterborough Pride 2018. Running from Friday 29th June to Friday 6th July, this week long city-wide celebration offers something for everyone. Peterborough PRIDE is about providing a platform for coming together, celebrating difference, being proud and showing support for our Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) friends and family. As is the case in many cities now, we have moved away from a single parade and instead there will be lots of different parties, performances, screenings, events and social gatherings at a whole range of venues. Whoever you are, this is your PRIDE and you might choose to celebrate in any number of ways - you do not need to be limited by the events in this programme. Organise something with friends, family or work colleagues. For example simply displaying the rainbow flag as a symbol of solidarity is in itself hugely powerful. Get involved, and contribute to a fantastic and colourful week of laughter, dancing, discussion and performance. Let’s bring Peterborough together in unity not just for PRIDE but into the future creating a city where everyone is respected and welcome. Revealing itself as a ‘coming out’ story this is a journey into what it means to live out loud. ‘For Only An Hour’ is a manifesto about what we want to be when we grow up. It addresses the limitations placed on us in youth in terms of gender, conformity and expectation.

PURPOSE OF ANNEX: - Supplements the overview provided in the report; and - Deals with specific points agreed by Strong and Supportive Communities Scrutiny Committee on 24 July 2013. 2. WHY VIVACITY EXISTS AND HAS IT BEEN SUCCESSFUL: - Paragraph 5.2 of the report sets out the rationale for establishing a culture and leisure trust; - Paragraphs 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5 of the report set out what Vivacity has achieved in the last 3 years. 3. VALUE FOR MONEY: 3.1 Cost comparison of in-house services –v- Vivacity delivered services: - Paragraph 5.3 of the report sets out the cost comparison as best we can. 3.2 How the services provided by Vivacity compare under benchmarking against other councils services on culture and leisure: - Vivacity has advised it does not undertake benchmarking of its services; - However, according to CIPFA in the 2009/10 based on statistical estimates, Peterborough’s culture and leisure services were ranked 142 out of 165 unitary authorities based on a range of factors including running expenses, income, fees and charges and net expenditure; - In 2011/12 based on statistics compiled by CIPFA culture and leisure services were ranked 221 out of 356 local authorities based on a similar range of factors as mentioned in the previous point. - In 2012, CIPFA reported that average expenditure on public libraries for an authority similar to Peterborough was £16,000 per 1,000 people. In March 2013, the Council spent £10,465 for every 1,000 people which suggests that Vivacity is an effective low cost provider for public libraries.

STUDY - JANUARY 2021 3 Is The Puzzle Feasible? >> INTRODUCTION WSP is commissioned by Peterborough City Council to undertake a feasibility study to determine the capacity for development on the northern embankment to the River Nene, Peterborough. This feasibility study is an analysis of the relevant factors to assess the practicality of a proposed plan or project, and to ascertain the likelihood of completing that project successfully. In this instance, the project is defined as a masterplan for the embankment comprising the following key elements: Á Anglia Ruskin University Campus Á Riverside walkway and public realm Á Open green space Á Retained assets such as the Lido and Key Theatre Á Potential site for Peterborough United FC Stadium The study is co-funded in partnership between the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA), Peterborough United Properties (PUP), and Peterborough City Council (PCC), and consequently the objectives, scope, key findings and next steps are defined by the following conributors: Lead consultant for the overall study to Peterborough City Council Architect consultant for the campus to Anglia Ruskin University Consultant for the stadium to Peterborough United Properties 1 >> BACKGROUND To enable this study, WSP has undertaken preliminary assessments and made available information to establish the concept masterplan upon which this study is based.
