Our ref: ATISN 13620 Date: 18 December 2019

Dear,

Request for Information – ATISN 13620

Thank you for your request which I received on 28 November. You asked for:

Please list all the dramas and any other fictional works filmed at the Park HQ since 2005, stating the duration of the filming and how much the was paid for each.

Please also list the requests for filming dramas and any other fictional works that have been turned down, how much the Welsh Government would have been paid for each, and why the request was turned down.

I have concluded that the Welsh Government only has records dating back to 2012 for filming activities undertaken at its , office. Since this date, there have been seven filming activities on site – detailed below.

The Welsh Government charges a £1.00 fee for a Licence to film on its premises. Also, any costs incurred by the Welsh Government in supporting the filming activity – e.g. additional security / maintenance services etc. – are directly recovered.

One filming request has been declined since 2012. In September 2019 a request for an additional days filming for His Dark Materials was declined. The request was submitted at short notice and there was insufficient time to complete the Licence documentation and there was no resource available to support the filming activities from a security and health and safety perspective.

If you are dissatisfied with the Welsh Government’s handling of your request, you can ask for an internal review within 40 working days of the date of this response. Requests for an internal review should be addressed to the Welsh Government’s Freedom of Information Officer at:
