Changes from last week’s chart:

Lady Antebellum holds onto the #1 spot for a second week in a row with “We Owned The Night.” holds onto the #2 spot for a third week in a row with “Tattoos On This Town.” The climbs one spot, landing at #3 with “Keep Me In Mind.” Miranda Lambert drops one spot, landing at #4 with “Baggage Claim.” Brantley Gilbert holds onto the #5 spot with “Country Must Be Country Wide.”

Deconstruction:

Two out of five songs follow an A-B-A-B-C-B form (“Tattoos On This Town” and “Keep Me In Mind.”) The others all differ in nature from one another. One song (“Keep Me In Mind”) has its first chorus occurring under one-fifth of the way into the song (15%), three occur around a quarter of the way in (“Tattoos On This Town,” “Country Must Be Country Wide,” and “Baggage Claim” at 27%, 27% and 24% of the way in respectively) and one song has its first chorus occurring at 30% of the way into the song (“We Owned The Night.”) Three songs feature a male lead vocalist, one features a female lead and one is a duet (“We Owned The Night.”) Primary instrumentation varies throughout songs in the category, though all feature an electric guitar in the mix.
