The difficulty in obtaining intensity-duration-frequency equations through pluviographs because of the poor density of pluviographs network has led engineers to use other methods for determining these equations from pluviometric records. In this paper were used time series from 8 municipalities of mesoregions of Pernambuco State to determine intensity-duration-frequency equations using rainfall disaggregation method. The goodness of fit Gumbel distribution was confirmed by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test with a significance level of 5%. The generated equations showed reasonable fitting with R² ranging from 97,5% to 97,9% for the rainfall disaggregation method. Keys-words: high intensity rainfall, Pernambuco, disaggregation method.

RESUMO A evapotranspiração é uma variável fundamental para estimar a exigência hídrica das culturas, e também fornece subsídio para o dimensionamento de sistemas de bombeamento, adução e distribuição de água na irrigação. A caracterização da distribuição de frequência da evapotranspiração de referência (ETo), estimada pelo método do tanque classe “A” em Petrolina, PE, foi realizada com base em série histórica de 45 anos (1963 a 2010) de dados, os quais foram agrupados em períodos de 5, 10, 15 e 30 dias. As distribuições Gama e Normal foram aplicadas aos dados de ETo com probabilidade de 95, 90, 75, 50, 25, 10 e 5%. Sendo aptas para representar os dados de evapotranspiração de referência para os períodos acumulados de 10, 15 e 30 dias. Os valores de ETo (11,06 e 11,07 mm dia-1, distribuição gama e normal, respectivamente) para o mês de outubro no período acumulado de 15 dias com probabilidade de 75%, foram os mais indicados para o dimensionamento da lâmina diária máxima de projetos de sistemas de irrigação.     According to available records, Oliveira do Bairro appeared before the formation of Portugal. There are indications of Celts and pre-Celts in the parish of Mamarrosa. While parishes like Palhaça and Bustos 1 have signs of Roman presence. There is a document dated 922 d.c. (tenth century) which refers to the donation of land to the Monastery of Crestuma and where the land is said to be "Ulveira" (Oliveira). In a document dated 957, some villages of the municipality, such as "Barriolo", "Aqualada" or "Sancta Eolália" are mentioned. However, it was only granted Charter to Oliveira do Bairro (become a town) on April 6, 1514, by King Manuel I. The grantees were the Counts of Miranda do Corvo and Marquises of Arronches and at a later stage, the Dukes of Lafões. In the sixteenth century Oliveira do Bairro had settlements that still exist today, such as Póvoa do Cercal and Póvoa do Repolão. The name "Oliveira" comes from several centuries ago as a tribute to the culture of the olive trees and olive oil production, but "do Bairro” was added much later. It comes from the word "clay" which evolved into "barro" as it comes from the Latin root "barrium". Thus, "the District" eventually becomes determinative of the type of ground on which the olive trees get along. In 1836 the county “Oliveira do Bairro “ is formed and due to its great location, was highly coveted by its neighbours “Águeda “ and “Anadia”, which led to its extinction in 1895 and its annexation by the municipalities mentioned. However, this annexation was short-lived - in 1898 the municipality of Oliveira do Bairro was restored, with the exception of the parish of Bustos which was only attached to Oliveira do Bairro in 1919.

Objetivou-se realizar um levantamento ambiental no sentido de identificar os impactos atuantes na área, considerando o potencial produtivo da RD da Zona da Mata Norte. Metodologicamente, foram desenvolvidas atividades que viabilizaram o registro e caracterização ambiental com levantamentos de campo numa articulação entre a análise qualitativa com identificação de impactos, registro, georreferenciamento e avaliação, propostos por Battelle (DEE et al., 1972). Os resultados indicaram expressivas forçantes ambientais com doze impactos decorrentes da pressão urbana em quatro setores circundantes ao rio. Dessa maneira, conclui-se que os múltiplos usos de forma desordenada da bacia vêm convergindo para o desencadeamento de sérios problemas
