OVERVIEW: Morocco is truly at the crossroads of the world. Its location at the northwest tip of Africa absorbs elements of European, Sub-Saharan African, and Arab culture. As a result, its culture, history, religion, art and politics is a melange that gives Morocco a uniqueness among nations.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: DEPART NEW YORK DAY 8: Travel from the Tampa International Airport to Kennedy International Spend the day in Marrakesh, the second oldest imperial city known as Airport; fly overnight, non-stop to Casablanca, Morocco. the “Pearl of the South.” Tour the Jewish quarters, the , Sidi-bel-Abbes , the Koutoubia Mosque, the and DAY 2: CASABLANCA AIRPORT (CASABLANCA CITY) , and the Majorelle Gardens. Prepare for a panoramic tour of Casablanca, the business capital of Morocco. Lunch at a seaside restaurant. Hotel: Sheraton Casablanca Visit the souks (the markets) and the Djemaâ El Fna place (a large public square and market place with non-stop entertainment). DAY 3: CASABLANCA • Visit Lycée Maimonide School (a French International Secondary school). DAY 9: CASABLANCA Leisure day. Hotel: Kenzi Sidi Maarouf Depart to Rabat. Tour of the Royal Palace, the great Hassan II Mosque, Mohamed V Square, and the of Oudayas. DAY 10: CASABLANCA • NEW YORK Hotel: Hassan Palace Transfer from the hotel to Casablanca Airport. Board morning flight; arrive New York City. Spend the night at the Crowne DAY 4: RABAT • LARACHE • • FEZ Plaza Kennedy International Airport. Larache and Asilah. Asilah is known for its beaches, shopping and architecture. Hotel: Palais Medina DAY 11: RETURN TO TAMPA

DAY 5: FEZ A full day of sightseeing in Fez, the most ancient cultural and spiritual city of Morocco. Visit the Borj Nord fort for a view of the Merenid Tombs, Abou el Hassan Mosque, Saffarine Medersa, Kairouan Mosque, Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the famous Nejjarine Fountain, and the Jewish Quarters known as .

DAY 6: FEZ • VOLUBILIS • MOULAY IDRISS • Travel to Meknes known as the “Moroccan Versailles.” Tour stops include: the Roman Ruin of Volubilis, (houses jewelry, textiles), Bab Mansour (the most preserved gate in Morocco), and the catacombs of the Christian prison.

DAY 7: FEZ • BENI-MELLAL Travel from Fez to Marrakesh through the Atlas Mountains via Immouzer du Kander (known for its cedar trees and French-inspired architecture) Roman ruins of Volubilis near Fez. and Ifrane (known for its alpine-style architecture and nearby ski slopes and forests). Continue to Marrakesh. Hotel: Kenzi Menara Palace
