To Mom/Sheila and Dad/Bud: We, your combined 7 kids, want to add our voices to the many honoring you for your service to the St. Luke community over many years—a service that extends far beyond the work you did for St. Luke during your careers. (But, one question: Did Bud deliver as many St. Luke kids as Sheila taught?) Of course, though, our experience with you goes much deeper. We have been watching and learning from you our entire lives— lucky us. We have seen you endure the loss of your first marriage partners, and then pick up the pieces and embrace a second—lucky us. And now we get to see the committed and thoughtful and connected life you have forged together later in your lives—lucky, lucky us. All we can say now— all we should say— is thank you, thank you, thank you.
