Acknowledgements This research would not have been possible without the participation of numerous contributors, including students, instructors and administrators of private career colleges throughout Canada. Instructors and school administrators provided support in the organization and administration of the in-school survey, including providing valuable class time to facilitate the in-class completion of the survey by students. Specifically, we are grateful to Rosaline Frith, Director General of the Canada Student Loans Program (CSLP), Human Resources Social Development Canada (HRSDC), Government of Canada, and Catherine Conrad, Senior Director of the CSLP, for their encouragement and support. We would also like to thank Virginia Jakutavicius, Susan Seeger, David Todd, and Melissa Caverly of HRSDC for their advice on privacy and data sharing.
