For further details or to apply on line visit www.monaghaninstitute.ie Tel 047-84900 Aughawillan GAA Next Saturday May 12th, 20 former Aughawillan GAA players will take on the 150km journey from Castleknock to Aughawillan on their bikes, in order to fundraise for the upgrade of the playing surface of the main pitch. The 20 cyclists have been getting the miles in over the past few weeks as well as fundraising towards their target of €1,000 each. Anything over this is being donated to the Irish Cancer Society. All cyclists have sponsorship cards and donations also can be made through the Aughawillan GAA Facebook page. If you haven't done your Spring Clean, you can contribute to the cycle through a clothes collection being run by Pat Joe McNiffe. All clothes, curtains, shoes, boots, and wellies can be accepted, (however duvets and pillows are not accepted), and can be left to McNiffe's house at any time, with thanks in advance. Thank you to all who have donated this far, we appreciate any and all sponsorship that can be made to the cyclists and we ask that you support and encourage all 20 cyclists in any way possible in their preparations. Thanks to Donal and Paddy for having the field in tip top shape, putting up the new nets and to Chairman Martin, Donal and Thomas who painted the goal posts on both pitches. .
