We report on the first recorded case of thunderstorm asthma in Israel, that 35 occurred during an exceptionally strong Eastern Mediterranean multicell-cell 36 thunderstorm on October 25th 2015. The storms were accompanied by intensive 37 lightning activity, severe hail, downbursts and strong winds followed by intense rain. It 38 was the strongest lightning-producing storm ever recorded by the Israeli Lightning 39 Detection Network since it began operations in 1997.
