3rd Tribe of , Fellowship, Joined, Genesis 29:34 of the Lord

Levi means ‘joined’, ‘attached to’

Genesis 29:34 And she () conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi.

Levi means "joined, to be fastened to, devoted to, attached to, veering, united, joined to, knotted."

Levi is the tribe chosen to serve the Temple, thusly to serve Himself.

Levi is the personality of dedicating your life to serving a higher calling. Of freeing yourself from your bonds to material survival and attaching yourself to Godly service.

Our heavenly Levi stands between and earth, between God, the husband (Jehovah-Ishi), and us, His bride. And even as Levi stood and offered sacrifices on behalf of the bride (Israel), so , our Levi and High Priest, offered the perfect sacrifice of His own shed blood to bring reconciliation between Jehovah-Ishi and us, His bride.

Jesus is our Levi, our mediator and middleman who stands between God and us, making intercession for us.

Levi is the 3rd son of Leah.

Symbol for Levi is The Breastplate

The symbol of Levi is the breastplate, which holds the twelve different stones on which are engraved the names of the tribes of Israel, joining Manasseh and Ephraim under the name of Joseph. The breastplate was of utmost importance.

Exodus 28:15: And you shall make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the you shall make it; of , of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shall you make it. It is called the breastplate of judgment and it was made of expert workmanship. (Judgment BARAK means either judgment or rewards). It was foursquare in shape. A span was the length of it and a span the breadth thereof. A span is the distance between the thumb and little finger when spread out. The dictionary gives it as 9 inches. Exodus 28:17-20, 22, 29 gives us the names of the twelve different gemstones that were set in it, one for each tribe. Exodus 28:30 "And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon 's heart, when he goeth in before the Lord: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the Lord continually."

This symbol is one of the most beautiful in Israel because it shows the loving care that the Lord has for each one of the tribes. Jesus has us upon His heart at all times. Aaron carried these tribes always over his heart when he came before the Lord. It did not matter if they sinned and did evil, or if they were good and holy, he carried them upon his heart. They were chained in place with rings, fastened to his ephod. He could only remove them when he left the .

The true will always carry the ministry, which the Lord has given him upon his heart. He will not be able to lay it down day or night. Whether the people he works with are easy to along with, or whether they be full of rebellion and , he will constantly be bringing them into the presence of God. He will not be permitted to lay down his burden or to take a vacation from the call of God, which is upon his life. He is very specially dedicated to God and also to the people whom he represents. He must be more like Jesus than any of the other tribes.

He never wears the breastplate as an ornament. It is a token of judgment. As he stands before God and serves God, the glory of God shines upon that breastplate and it strikes every single one of the gems, revealing the color, clarity, purity and the flaws that are in each one. Neither can anyone hide anything from the eyes of the Levite. Do not try to a Levite, God will show you up to be a fool. The closer the Levite walks with God, the more he will see into the depth of each tribe that he is ministering to.

Not all had the ministry of the high priest, however. There were certain branches of the tribe that had other ministries, and we will go into these later. But the ones who are given the charge of the Tabernacle, the sons of Aaron, are those of a very high and holy calling, and these are the ones I was speaking about. As we look 3rd Tribe of Israel, Levi page 3

into the other families of the Levites, you may find your calling and election is one of them.

Levi’s Gemstone - Carbuncle

Garnet, deep red. The blood brings you into fellowship with your Savior.

The name garnet comes from the Latin grammar, which means "," and alludes to the resemblance of some red varieties of this fruit. The pomegranate is a fruit that is closely related to the priesthood. The Lord had the designed into the hem of the . (Exodus 39:24) The pomegranate, because of its many seeds, is a symbol of fruitfulness and righteousness. This makes the garnet a priestly stone. Its deep red color portrays, so beautifully, the precious blood that was shed as the sacrificial offering through the ministry of the Levite family.

Another reason why the garnet is applicable to the is because it means "seed," and the Levites were given the calling of planting the "seed" of God's word in all of Israel. They were the teachers of the Oracles of God.

The Tribe Of Levi Does Not Have A Month On God's Calendar

They carry all twelve stones on the breastplate that the High Priest wears. They are to care for all twelve tribes.

Prophesies From and

Prophesy from Jacob

Genesis 49:5-7, "Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations. 0 my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honor, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their self will they digged down a wall. Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel. "Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations." "Instruments of anger are in their nature."

This explains the meaning much more correctly.

One can punish and judge a situation, but one must be careful to do it without cruelty. A Levite must guard against his tendency to be cruel in a moment when the spirit of anger comes upon him.

The word "instruments" comes from the Hebrew keliy (kc-lee) ... "something prepared, any apparatus (as an implement, utensil, artillery, weapon, etc.), that is made on the forge.

Life is like being on an anvil. It is like being formed in the fire, and this is why your experiences, your fiery trials, will either make out of you a weapon of cruelty, that will 3rd Tribe of Israel, Levi page 4

be used to destroy others, or it can make out of you a shield. It also can make out of you something for a blessing, a household item, a vessel for the Master's use.

The word "cruelty" translated from the Hebrew means "violence, instruments of anger and instruments of injustice." That means that these things are in the nature of the Levite. Beware, dear Levite! This is your weakness. This is where you need to tum to God for your help.

Genesis 49:6 "O my soul. come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honor. be not thou united: for in their anger thy slew a man, and in their self will they digged down a wall."

Beware, dear ministers of the , that you do not allow that "self-developed weapon, forged in the heat of the fires of anger and jealousy" to be used against an- innocent child of God! “I will divide them in Jacob and scatter them in Israel."

This was God's answer to a standing problem. Deliverance is not always enough. Sometimes you must separate the two. And by scattering Levi all over Israel in 48 different cities they brought their anointing and their intercession and their Word of the Lord with them.

Prophesy from Moses

Deuteronomy 33:8-11, "And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah; Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant. They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine . Bless, Lord, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him and of them that hate him, that they rise not again."

God is not in a hurry to get you delivered. He will let you sweat it out, until you are ready to fall on your face before Him and say, "Lord, I'm just sick and tired of myself. You can do anything with me."

Moses came to that place of absolute surrender. That is where you have to come to, even the place where you hate and reject yourself. He was so low, that when the Lord spoke to him out of the burning bush and told him to go and deliver his people he said, "No, Lord! I am the last one for that job."

The Levite family was called for the deliverance of God's chosen people, but they all had to go through their personal Gethsemane. They had to learn the weakness of their anger and the injustice of their judgment. Levi is so important in God's plan: and that is why the devil will take his weakness and his strength and try to destroy him so that others will be afraid of a Levite and will not want to work with him and will not have anything to do with him, because they can see what he can do in the moment of unguarded passion. "And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and the Urim be with thy holy one.” 3rd Tribe of Israel, Levi page 5

This word "holy," which is chaciyd (khaw-seed) in Hebrew, is only used once in the . It is interpreted as "kind, pious, good, holy, merciful, saint, Godly."

The mystery of the has never really been fully explained. I know that Urim means "lights" and Thummim means "perfection." As far as we can understand, the Urim and the Thummim were two little stones that were carried in the breastplate of the high priest. This spoke of inner light and inner truth. When there was a situation facing Israel where they needed Divine guidance, the people went to the high priest and he would put his hand inside the breastplate and take out these two stones which were called the Urim and Thummim, (light and truth), and he would receive Divine guidance from the Lord.

It speaks of the inner light within us and the inner truth within us, which we all have as of the Lord, because the Holy Spirit is dwelling within us. When you come to a problem and you don't know where to turn for guidance, you don't have to run to this person and ask them what to do, or to that one and ask them, because you are now a priest unto God. You only need to look inside and ask the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, for you have light and truth within.

Exploits of Levi and Heroes Of Faith

JOCHEBED

The daughter of Levi, wife of and mother of Aaron, Moses and was one of the great women of the Bible. We can see how she sets a perfect example of faith and courage and daring to obey God in the face of all opposition from the rules and laws of Egypt. She lives by her own law, the law of the heart, like any true daughter of Levi should. By obeying God and disobeying the laws of the nation, she gives her people a deliverer, even Moses. means "Jehovah is rich, glorious, honor, fame, your fame is the Lord."

MIRIAM

The daughter of Jochebed is known in the Bible as the singing prophetess. From the time she was a little girl, she showed the same courage as her mother in saving the life of her little brother Moses. (Exodus 2:4-10) Miriam means "unmanageable, rebellious, unruly, stubborn, untamed, bitterness, sadness, strong and fat."

MOSES AND AARON

These two brothers did not grow up together. Moses was raised in the courts of Pharaoh and Aaron was, no doubt, a slave to the Egyptians. The name Aaron means, "one who illuminates, one who raises up and promotes, a mountain dweller." When God called Moses, he also called Aaron to work with him. Together, as they stood before the congregation of Israel and Pharaoh, they were invincible. Yet, when God called Moses to come up into the mount, He did not permit Aaron to accompany him. God was closer to Moses than to Aaron. Yet Aaron was the high priest who stood before God to make atonement for the people. Aaron was Moses' mouth. Moses was God's eyes to Israel.

GOD'S FIRST-FRUITS COMPANY 3rd Tribe of Israel, Levi page 6

The Levites were not permitted to be numbered, because the Lord had chosen them as His first-fruits company.

"But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them. For the Lord had spoken unto Moses, saying, Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel." (Numbers 1:47-49)

From the day that God smote the first-born in the land of Egypt, He hallowed (consecrated) to Himself all the first-born of Israel. Even as He chose Israel out of all the families of the earth, He chose Levi as His priestly family, his first-born family out of Israel. They represented all of Israel before the Lord.

"And the Lord spoke to Aaron, You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither will you have any part among them: I am your part and your inheritance among the children of Israel." (Numbers 18: 20)

They were the Lord's special company. They were not to own any part in Israel, except for the cities that were given to them by the different tribes to dwell in. The Lord was to be their entire inheritance. See Deuteronomy 10:8,9; 18:1-8; 21:5; 13:14.

"And the Lord said unto Moses, Number all the of the males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names. And thou shalt take the Levites for me (I am the Lord) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel." (Numbers 3:40,41)

GOD DEMANDED PURITY OF LEVI

They were chosen to set a perfect example before all of Israel by keeping His Word and His covenant, to offer the sacrifices and to teach the judgment and the law. They had to put incense before the Lord and offer whole sacrifices on the altar, withholding nothing for themselves. They were never given an inheritance. God said, "I will be the inheritance of Levi."

The Levites are a people with the high calling of God upon their lives. As soon as they try to accumulate wealth, houses and land and try to get into a business establishment, unless they are absolutely led by God in a sovereign way, they are going to get into trouble. God wants to be their inheritance, their all-in-all. He wants them to live that life of faith. He wants to supply their needs. As they look to Him and give the sacrifices of the Lord on the altar, He will give the finest of the grain and the first-fruits of the field and the "shoulder of the lamb" to His Levites.

And because they are teachers of the law, they must live the law. How can they teach what they cannot lie?

A Levite is called to offer prayers and praise and make intercession before the Lord, not just now and then, but his whole life through. Neither can he take a va-cation from being a Levite. 3rd Tribe of Israel, Levi page 7

He is called to be a mediator between God and man. He not only offers up the sacrifices to God, he is called to be a sacrifice himself. He has a lifetime of service before him.

When the Levites try to get into business, God will soon chase out the money changers from their lives! He said to Levite, "My house is a house of prayer." The Levites have no business doing business in God's house.

They must beware of using psychology, or even hypnosis, in order to take the money from the people. Their motive must be pure when it comes to money. They dare not touch the gold or the glory.

The great law that the Levites must keep and teach is the law of LOVE.

The great laws of Moses can be summed up in one word, LOVE.

THE ROD THAT BUDDED

Because the Levites were not permitted to engage in warfare and not permitted to handle the sword, God had to be their defense.

God wanted to prove, once and for all, who truly was His chosen, anointed leader and high priest, so He commanded that each of the princes of the twelve tribes take the rod that they used, write their name on it (so there be no mistake) and bring it to the tabernacle where it would be laid out before the testimony. God said, "And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you." (Numbers 17:5)

All night these rods lay before the Lord while Israel slept. In the morning Moses went into the tabernacle of witness (notice it is now given a new name ... the tabernacle that bears witness), and to his great astonishment the rod of Aaron, which was the rod for the tribe of Levi, had budded and brought forth buds and bloomed blossoms and even yielded almonds. says that the rod had been cut out of an almond tree. "The people were so amazed at this strange sight, that though Moses and Aaron were before, under some degree of hatred, they now laid that hatred aside, and began to admire the judgment of God concerning them; so that hereafter they applauded what God had decreed, and permitted Aaron to enjoy the priesthood peaceably, and he retained that honor without further disturbance and hereby this sedition of the Hebrews, which had been a great one, and had lasted a great while, was at last con1posed."

3rd Tribe of Israel, Levi page 8

Aaron’s Rod Levite, you are the carrier of Aaron’s rod that budded every year on the Day of Trumpets. You are more than a Levite but a true Aaronite.

When the children of Israel were viewing for positioning of authority, God told the leaders of each of the tribe to write their name on a rod, a branch before him and God said to Moses tell Aaron to do this also as a Levite. These rods – branches were placed before God and that night one rod bloomed, budded, and brought forth fruit. That branch was an almond tree branch and it budded almonds in one night – that branch belonged to Aaron. The full cycle of the almond tree would have completed a ten-week cycle in one night’s time. It not only would bud but it had ripe almonds on the branch. This rod spoke to the people of God’s divine authority upon the holder of this rod. Aaron did not have to do anything or tell anyone that his rod had budded. His authority and the acceleration of budding of the rod were the evidence of his Godly authority. His authority and priesthood were confirmed publicly upon seeing the rod having budded. Aaron rod that budded was symbolic of the Tree of Life from the garden of Eden.

The Tree Of Life Was An Almond Tree His rod, which was an almond branch, signified the Word of God, the word of promise to follow. Aaron’s rod was kept inside of the , along with the and the . Above sat the cherubim and glory would shine on the mercy seat between the cherubim. You are placed with an authority and position that God has shown from his ark that you are in a place of great treasure and rich closeness to him. Aaron’s rod put into the ark reveals the covering that you carry of protectiveness and closeness to God Himself and His Word. Your flesh is hidden in the ark. But you will bloom, blossom, and fruit the tree of life words of illumination to a dying world and no one will deny your authority is from God.

Levi’s Positioning

Levi’s Positioning When the Cloud Moves

1. Levi Sets Up The Tabernacle

Numbers 10:17: And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of and the sons of set forward, bearing the tabernacle.

The Levitical families of Gershon and Merari were chosen to carry the curtains, , floor boards, and all that was necessary for the set up of the tabernacle. They went ahead of the other priests, who would follow later in the procession. This group went behind the Judah, Issachar & Zebulun, Spiritual and physical warriors, also called the worshipping warriors.

2. Levi Sets Up The Holy Furniture

Numbers 10:21: And the set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and the other did set up the tabernacle against they came.

Levi Carries The Holy Furniture - Levitical family of the Kohathites who carried the furniture from the Outer Court and the Holy Place of the Tabernacle. The altar of burnt offerings , the laver , the table of , that lampstand, and the incense altar

All utensils necessary (dishes, pans, bowls, pitchers, wick-trimmers, fire pans, forks, shovels, basins and such. This group of Levites carrying the LORDs furniture went behind , Simeon, Gad, the Lord’s Battle-axe Brigade warriors.

Position of Levi

In The Wilderness Around The Tabernacle: They were placed around the tabernacle as watchmen and guardians. With Moses' and Aaron's families being at the East Gate (the entrance). The Kohathites were on the south near Gad, Simeon and Reuben, the were on the west side with Benjamin, Ephraim and Manasseh, and the were on the north with Naphtali, Dan and Asher. The tribes on the east where Aaron and Moses' family was located, were Zebulun, Judah and Issachar.

In The Promised Land: They were scattered throughout the tribes in 48 different cities. (Joshua 2 1:1-42) The allotment was as follows: 1. Out of the tribes of Judah, Simeon, Benjamin ... 13 cities (Joshua 21 :4); 2. Out of the tribes of Ephraim, Dan and Manasseh ... 10 cities (verse 5); 3. Out of the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali and the half tribe of Manesseh 13 cities (vs 6) 4. Out of the , Gad and Zebulun…12 cities (verse 7)

3rd Tribe of Israel, Levi page 10

In The Millennium: 48:22 says, "Moreover from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city (New ), being in the midst of that which is the prince's, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, shall be for the prince." They will be the closest to the city of Jerusalem.

The Gate Of Levi In The

Ezek 48:31 "And the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward; one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi." Levi is moved from the eastern gate to the north side of Jerusalem. I believe this is because there will be no need of Levi acting as guardians and custodians of Israel. There will be a new Divine order. No longer will the sacrifices be offered or intercession be made before the Lord. It will be a city of praises unto the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

Levi’s Prophetic Summary

Who you are and what your destiny means to you is important. You as a Levite will reveal the original plan God had for them. Understand how important this is. This piece of identity that you have asked for, is ‘hugh’ positionally, that will bring the other tribes into alignment with their God.

The Levite is a very powerful position. When you enter a room an entourage comes with you, the host of heaven. You enter in a non-confrontational way. Levites are very non-aggressive tribe but with an anointing and power that is bar- non. And beyond reproach. Almost untouchable in a way. As a Levite you need to recognize how anointed you are.

This is a different and unique time for the church, His Bride. God is setting Levite up for positioning. You are being called to be His choice one. Special and unique above others. The closer the Levite walks with God the more he will see into the depth of each tribe he is ministering to. A true priest unites the body with their bridegroom. You will join many to Jesus.

Jesus is our Levi. You are a priest unto the Lord and you carry His presence wherever you go. There is awe about your spirit. Your spirit is strong, yet quiet but still speaks with an authority. You are the only one who depicts a ‘true Levite’ in character and nature. A true Levite will represent Jesus in His fullness.

The true Levite will always carry the ministry, which the Lord has given him upon his heart. He will not be able to lay it down day or night. Whether the people he works with are easy to get along with, or whether they be full of rebellion and

The priests came out of Levite priesthood and they are at the time of King . They would go before the face of the Lord (face to face) in fine linen garments, but who had change back to ordinary garments to come before the people. There are many Levites but there were some who stood out. John the Immerser was a Levite and he stood out. Zachariah, his father stood out and he was a Levite. You will be one of the ones who also will stand out. There are many Levites but there are some who carry the divine purity of this tribe.

Levite, you are the carrier of Aaron’s rod that budded every year on the Day of Trumpets. You are more than a Levite but a true Aaronite. 3rd Tribe of Israel, Levi page 12

My Sources and Challenge: These are my notes that I have created over the years from several sources. They are not intended for publication. They are simply my notes that I am willing to share regarding the Tribes of Israel and the Months of God’s Calendar as I have seen fit to put together. In the early 2000’s, I began attending moves of God all over the nation and into Canada to hear from God and what He was saying. From Brownsville revival in Florida to Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship, on into the middle of the US and then onto Fresh Fire in Canada and down to California. All the time hearing pieces of revelation on God’s Holy Days and Feasts. The Lord has been leading me continually, learning this precious truth of His people Israel and our prophetic link to them. I believe that we have experienced the Feast of and the Feast of , but, oh but, not the Feast of . This feast as the first two are for all of Israel and I a gentile, have been grafted into the blood of Jesus, the nation of Israel. I encourage you to seek the ancient paths and see what God wrote for us to walk in. The revelation of the tribes anchors our faith and releases us to His Calling in Christ Jesus.

Jeremiah 18:15: Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up;

Jeremiah 6:16-17: Thus said the LORD, Stand you in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Listen to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not listen.

Said of George Mueller, 1839 “This wide awake servant of God, watched the signs of the times, and while others slept, followed the Lords signal of advance.” Some of my resources:
