Top per head on the day was £118 for a smart pen of 48kgs from Edd Doidge, Bendon Farm, . 61 Hoggs Smaller entry saw the well fleshed Hoggs realising between £85 to a top of £99 from Capehope LTD, Treroosal, St Teath. Couples The Couples are drying up and the trade is very strong. Doubles up to £220 and singles topped at £155 all sold by B A Sheep, Treskinnick Cross.

A large crowd of prospective buyers in attendance, resulted in a very fast trade and a total clearance was achieved. 9 pens of Shearling Ewes over £142 to a top of £150 from Dudley and Martin Harris of Mount.

Rams A firm trade and 1st prize and Champion overall of the day went to Messrs V M and A Care, Burras, Wendron, who realised 400 GNS, who also sold another smart Shearling at 380 GNS. Older Rams topped at 360GNS for a 6T from David and Mark Thomas, Treguddick.

STORE CATTLE AUCTIONEER RICHARD DENNIS Antoher good entry for the time of year of nearly 300 Cattle going under the hammer to a packed ring of buyers, resulting in a very strong trade from start to finish. Steers John Crago from Par topped the day at £1140 for his Aberdeen Angus, followed by the Hooper Family of Pengold who had a smart run of Cattle on offer and saw their best pair of Charolais Steers reach £1120 and 3 Aberdeen Angus Steers also made £1120. Five tidy Simmental Steers from the same run topped at £1080, and their Hereford Steers saw several over £960 to a top of £1100. Not so many Friesians on offer this week but the ones that were on offer met a strong trade, top being £965 for 7 Steers, again from the Hooper Family. Steve Nankivell & Sons, Treswollack, St Breward had a cracking run of 52 majority Charolais x, 12-14 month old Cattle on offer and saw their first bunch of 6 steers top at £1000. Mr Ken Crocker of Crackington Haven had his usual run of smart well bred South Devon 12 month old Steers sell to a top of £920. Heifers 126 Heifers on offer saw the strong Heifers well over £1000 to a top of £1090, for a single Simmental again from the Hooper family of Pengold, who also realised £1050 for their best British Blue. Charolais x Heifers saw 3 bunches on the morning over £1000 to a top £1035, again for 12 to 14 month olds from Steve Nankivell & Sons, St Breward. Keith Vincent of Grampound Road had his usual run of smart Hereford Heifers, which topped at £905.
