    AOSR - VIA CASSIA 811 Phone: 06-334-381 Web:WWW.AOSR.ORG May 2006 AOSR PLANS FOR 60th BIRTHDAY By Dr. Larry Dougherty, Headmaster In June, 2007, AOSR will celebrate its sixtieth anniversary. The school has served thousands of May children and families throughout the years. From the founding of the school until today, the Important Dates school has had strong traditions and exceptional teachers. Some of the programs we take for granted today, including the elementary social studies curriculum with its emphasis on ancient Greece and Rome, the Shakespeare Festival and Declamations, were started thirty or forty years 13 MAYFAIR ago by Madeline Fabris and Marcia Roberts. Alumni who return for reunions will go on the 11:00AM - 4:00PM stage of the Hillside Theater and recite lines from a play or relive their declamation. Just as our alumni remember their outstanding teachers from the past, our students today will look back on 15 their experiences here as rich and rewarding because of the teachers who work so hard to help & them learn and grow. 16 IB Exams at AOSR At the same time, the school has made significant changes in programs and in facilities. Undersøkelsene er kjent som Utdanningsdirektoratets spørringer. Temaene for de enkelte undersøkelsene avtales fra gang til gang og skal dekke Utdanningsdirektoratets kunnskapsbehov til enhver tid. Resultatene fra undersø- kelsene offentliggjøres i NIFUs ordinære rapportserie og foreligger nedlastbare i PDF-format på Utdanningsdirektoratets og NIFUs hjemmesider. Dette er en ekstra spørring blant lærere om fagfornyelsen og korona-situasjo- nen, som ble gjennomført på oppdrag fra Utdanningsdirektoratet og Universitetet i Oslo. I undersøkelsen inngår to respondentgrupper som er spurt om i alt ti ulike te- maer. Rapporten er i første rekke en tabellrapport hvor det i liten grad gjøres mer inngående analyser. Det er ikke skrevet noe samlet sammendrag for denne rapp- orten, men leseren henvises til oppsummeringene ved slutten av hvert kapittel.     Relocation Country Guide: ITALY September 2017 Relocation and International Assignment Trends and Practices Located in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, Italy shares open land borders with France, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, San Marino and Vatican City. The country is renowned for its arts and cultural treasures, as well as beautiful landscapes and world-leading cuisine. It is becoming a more frequent destination for assignees and the high quality of life there, means it is a popular destination for expatriates. Input from Cartus Global Supply Chain and our Destination Services Providers on the ground in Italy points to several key areas of importance to the expat community. Of primary importance is looking for a rental property, finding a school, transportation, language, cultural issues and climate. These areas are all addressed, with best practice recommendations, to help guide relocation managers as they consider policies for their assignees. September 2017 Relocation Country Guide: ITALY RENTAL MARKET As rental properties are not typically viewed as investments, landlords tend not to devote time to maintaining them. Assignees should be made aware of this before a home search trip begins, as the standard of expatriate properties in Italy may be lower than elsewhere in Europe. The types of properties available – in terms of quality, size and price – depend considerably on the area in which the assignee is relocating. In more rural areas, prices may be lower, but so is availability. Whereas, there is more choice in major cities like Rome and Milan, but prices are higher. Although, in general, properties in Rome are of a lower quality than they are in other cities and there are also less fully furnished options in the capital.

The directory covers five geographic areas (Europe, Africa, Near East and South Asia, East Asia, and American Republics) with specific geographic locations listed alphabetically under each main area. The name and title of each school's chief administrator and the name, address, and telephone number of the school are given under each location listed. Also listed are the enrollment, the grades included in the regular program, and whether supervised correspondence work is offered at certain grade levels. The lists iTtclude the names and addresses of overseas schools which received direct or indirect assistance from the Office of Overseas Schools in Fiscal Year 1985.
