MEDIA RELEASE 14 May 2009 FOX SPORTS PLANS THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE ASHES COVERAGE AUSTRALIA’S EVER SEEN FROM ENGLAND As a new generation of Australian cricketers prepare to face up to old foes in cricket’s most celebrated rivalry, FOX SPORTS plans the most comprehensive Ashes coverage Australian’s have ever seen from England. The 2009 Ashes series starts July 7 in Cardiff and FOX SPORTS will be there to broadcast LIVE coverage of every ball from every match throughout the series. FOX SPORTS has gathered some of Australia’s most highly respected cricketers and analysts to bring viewers coverage of the 2009 Ashes series. FOX SPORTS’ impressive line up includes former Australian Test cricketers Allan Border, Mark Waugh, Brendon Julian, Greg Blewett, and Damien Fleming. Each day of play, FOX SPORTS will broadcast a dedicated one hour pre game show starting at 7pm and will be hosted LIVE from the United Kingdom and the FOX SPORTS studios with regular crosses to the grounds for exclusive interviews, the latest conditions and news updates. FOX SPORTS will continue to broadcast LIVE from the United Kingdom and the studio during lunch and throughout any extended rain delays. FOX SPORTS’ Nick McArdle and Mark Waugh will be in the studio for the first two Tests, while Allan Border and Brendon Julian will be on the ground in England. For the final three Tests, roles will be reversed as Julian takes up hosting duties in the studio and McArdle travels to England.
