2016 Trapper Winter Baseball/Softball Camp Sunday December 4th, 11th, & 18th 2016 3:00pm-5:00pm (Grades 1-4) and 5:30-7:30 (Grades 5-8) At Fort Vancouver H.S. Gymnasium Cost is $10.00 Per Session or $20.00 for ALL THREE SESSIONS
About Trapper Baseball Camp: Our camp will offer quality individual and group instruction to local youth baseball/softball players. We are excited to provide this opportunity to help develop baseball/softball skill, as well as teach the youngsters how to enjoy playing the game!
Session 1: December 4th- Hitting. Athletes will be instructed on swing mechanics, get a chance to hit in our cage, and play games on the main gym floor and in the commands.
Session 2: December 11th- Fielding. Athletes will learn the fundamentals of playing all of the infield and outfield positions as well as play fielding games.
Session 3: December 18th- Pitching. Athletes will work on pitching drills, pitcher fielding practice (PFPs), and get a chance to throw bullpens to catchers off of our mounds in the gym.
About The Instructors:
Owen Frasier- Attended Corban University. Coaching experience includes two years as freshman coach at Skyview HS, two years as Head Coach at Woodland HS, current Head Coach at Fort. Jim Wilson- Attended Oregon State where he was drafted in the second round by the Cleveland Indians. Wilson appeared in the Major Leagues with the Seattle Mariners, Cleveland Indians and Minnesota Twins. Wilson was the head coach at Fort Vancouver for 15 years. Craig Spicer- Attended Corban University where he was named All-Conference, All-Region and remains in the school record books for batting average, hits, doubles, triples and home runs. Andrew Duke- Played baseball at Concordia University. Coaching experience includes one year as assistant coach at Woodland HS. Duke is currently the JV coach at Fort Vancouver. Tim Crownover- Attended Oregon State and Central Arizona College before being drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers. Crownover is the former Head Coach at Bonners Ferry HS in Idaho. Chris Tynan- Chris was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 2nd Round of the 1997 MLB draft and played three seasons in the minor leagues. Erick Johnson- Played baseball at Clackamas Community College. Current Head Slow and Fast pitch coach at Fort Vancouver High School.
Current Trapper baseball/softball players will also be assisting all campers
