Cover Image – “Visual Poetry” Derek beaulieu often works at the edges of language, using isolated letters to create visual, instead of verbal, patterns and deconstructing found texts to tease out hidden meanings. His "untitled (for Natalee and Jeremy)," produced for two of his friends, is either a visual poetry epithalamium or simply a joyous celebration of the physical beauties of lettershape and writing. The resulting poem, which is created with press-on type, gains most of its effects from the repetition of identical letters, visual poetry's equivalent to rhyme, consonance, and assonance.—Geof Huth Source : http://www.poetryfoundation.org/poetrymagazine/poem/182400

Indeed, time flies ….. But, yes, the third issue of our Mediterranean School Magazine is a reality. Consistent with its original aim to promote and enhance the learning of the English Language, our magazine continues to involve more and more students and offers them the chance, through this intercultural dialogue, once again to be creative, to express themselves, to share news, ideas, interests but most of all to communicate with each other using the English language. And what’s more, we are very pleased to welcome a new friend and partner to our project which is the school IRUNGO LA SALLE Irun (Gipuzkoa)-Spain. So, now that our family is bigger, we can all share the happiness to enjoy the artistic and literary works of even more young and ambitious journalists. The main topic of our third issue is something more than “ a dream and vision; it is the skeleton architecture of our lives. It lays the foundations for a future of change, a bridge across our fears of what has never been before” What is it? But what else than… Poets and Poetry in Music. But why poetry? Perhaps we should let the poets themselves answer the question.

Poetry is the universal language which the heart holds with nature and itself William Hazlitt

Poetry is a search for ways of communication; it must be conducted with openness, flexibility, and a constant readiness to listen. Fleur Adcock

Poetry is at least elegance and at most a revelation. Robert Fitzgerald.

All good poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquillity. William Wordsworth

We congratulate all the Greek, Italian and Spanish students who took part in our third issue and wish you all to enjoy every part of it.
