Superior National Forest - North Junction

DESCRIPTION

The North Junction Trails consist of a series of loops. There are two loops south of the North Arm Road. The Beaver Meadow Trail is a beginner to intermediate trail that goes through hilly upland areas, a swamp, and a beaver pond. The west end of the Beaver Meadows Trail leads to Camp Widjiwagan, where the trail follows the road through the camp. While on the road, watch for vehicles and respect camp property.

From Camp Widjwagan, the trail crosses the North Arm Road. The North Bog Trail goes north, following Hunch Creek. This trail is not marked beyond the wilderness boundary, and only those carrying a map and compass should venture on this wilderness route. The other trails on the north side of the road follow old logging roads. There are some long downhill runs that will challenge intermediate to advanced skiers. The Ice Cliff Trail is a scenic area along high rock bluffs. NORTH JUNCTION
