2016.08.20 Global Academy Impact Assessment Global Academy – Impact Assessment We conclude five schools may feel a high impact upon the UTC opening, including Parkside Studio College (a studio school), five may feel a moderate impact and four schools may feel a minimal impact. The other schools that may feel a high impact are Harlington School, Stockley Academy, Villiers High School and Abbotsfield School. The analysis does not take into account the specialist nature of the UTC’s offer, which is likely to reduce the overall impact on the other schools and it is unlikely to attract large numbers of pupils from any one school. It is worth noting that Parkside opened in 2012 and is part of the Rosedale Hewens MAT, from which it draws most of its pupils; the studio school currently has 105 pupils as it grows to capacity. Of the 10 colleges included in the assessment, we believe six of these may experience a moderate impact and four may experience a minimal impact.
