We are always striving to create safer and more comfortable environments for people to walk and cycle in Auckland. While construction on cycling projects stopped due to the Covid-19 restrictions, construction is back in full swing again. This quarter saw:

Milestones reached • Detailed design completed for Taniwha Street (part of the Links to Glen Innes Cycleways project)

Over this quarter we delivered or supported 12 community and group events. While lockdown meant we were only able to run some events as planned and several had to be canceled, we look forward to running many more events during the rest of 2020.

11 12 AT supported EcoMatters bike hubs in Henderson and New Lynn along with the establishment of Adult Bike Skills Maintenance pit-stops, a third site in Glen Innes (opened sessions with 69 with 480 participants December 2019). The hubs help participants ran in June the community with learning basic bike skills and provide bikes for free or at low cost. Since reopening after lockdown there have been:

• 1,323 visitors, who learned a range of bike maintenance practices • 493 bikes repaired to be safe for riding • 131 bikes purchased at affordable prices and 4 bikes gifted.
