Fesval day every year. The City of McDonough has hosted this event all 37years of its existence. Why is it held in McDonough, or a beer queson, why called the Geranium Fesval? MISS GEORGIA USA HEADED TO BATON ROUGE FOR 2014 MISS USA PAGEANT McDonough, GA – May 21, 2014 – It’s just a matter of days before USA 2014, Tiana Griggs, 26, makes her way to McDonough Baton Rouge to compete for the title of Miss USA Matters 2014. The 63nd annual Miss USA pageant will be tele- cast live from the Baton Rouge River Center in Tiana Griggs Louisiana on June 8 at 8/7c on NBC. Miss Georgia USA Born and raised in Monticello, GA, Tiana has always had dreams of leaving her small town and experiencing God's true purpose for her life. At the age of 15, Griggs' family moved to Decatur, Ga; where she attended Southwest Dekalb High School and cheered as a varsity football cheerleader. With the encouraging support of her family and mentors, Tiana graduated with Hope Scholarship and attend- ed Georgia Southern University, where she studied Community Health. In 2010, Tiana began her modeling career after being discov- ered at Dark and Lovely's Ultimate Fashionista Model Search in , GA. Winning the multi-state modeling competition and being featured in Essence Magazine gave Tiana the drive she needed to pursue a career in beauty and entertainment. With high hopes for future endeavors and faith as her foundation, Griggs continues to pursue a career in modeling and acting. Tiana plans to use her platform to promote female empowerment and encour- age others to live with purpose. “Tiana is an excellent example of the young women we have had the hon- or of sending to the Miss USA Pageant to represent our state and organiza- tion,” said Pageant Director, Kim Greenwood. “She embodies poise, intelli- gence, class and beauty, and those qualities will take her far.” Upon arrival to Baton Rouge, each of the 51 ladies, with representatives from all states and the District of Columbia, will be a part of a series of rigor- ous rehearsals, interviews and fittings. The top 10 will be seen as part of the live show on NBC with each lady competing in swim wear and formal wear. The top five will complete a short question and answer segment. Additionally, Miss Georgia USA pageant officials have announced that applications are being accepted from young women throughout the state of Georgia who would like to compete in the 2015 Miss Georgia USA and Teen USA Pageants in November.

Miss Georgia USA This will be the first year McDonough will host the Miss Georgia USA and Press Release Miss Georgia Teen USA Pageants. The events will take place at the Henry & Photo Provided County Performing Arts Theatre on November 20 - 22, 2014. Tickets will go on sale in October. By Qualified applicants must be a resident of Georgia, a single female (never GREENWOOD married and never had a child) and a U.S. citizen. Those wishing to apply PRODUCTIONS, INC. must be between 18 and 27-years-old for Miss Georgia USA or 14 and 19- years-old for the Teen pageant as of February 1, 2015.

Applications for the pageant can be found on www.missgeorgiausa.com under the “Apply Now” section. The winner of the Miss USA Pageant, owned by Donald Trump, will go on 3 to compete in the Pageant.
