3. PROJECT MANAGEMENT & CONSULTANCY SERVICES

A. PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

I) Planning

The project design sequence will be planned with tasks to be performed at each stage fully identified.

II) Program

A program will be developed to co-ordinate with the overall project program.

III) Design Packages

Schedules will identify the drawings, technical schedules and specifications to be produced for each

package.

IV) Monitoring

Weekly communication meetings will be held to review the progress.

B. DESIGN SERVICES:

I) Feasibility Stage

A design brief will be produced. Preliminary key technical data will include plant loads / sizes and schematic

/ control designs.

II) Outline Design

Single line layout drawings will be produced.

III) Detailed Design

Highly accurate drawings shall be produced. We shall provide information that leaves nothing open to

interpretation.

IV) Contract Documentation

We shall produce tender / contract documents acceptable to the concerned authorities.

V) Co-ordination and Builder’s Work

Co-ordination will be carried out at each stage. This service can be expanded to provide fully dimensional

co-ordination and builders work drawings.

C. SUPERVISION:

I) Proactive involvement with Employer & Contractor

II) Interactive management process to integrate design, procurement & construction.

Post tender management will involve the project manager and the senior engineers. A resident engineer

shall be posted to ensure quality and to provide assistance with design and queries. The standards are

based on ‘active’ rather than ‘passive’ supervision. We manage to predict events in advance rather than

react to problems as they occur.

D. COMMISSIONING:

At tender stage, we will check that contractors have commissioning departments staffed by qualified personnel, the

requisite equipment’s§/machinery and financial resources. In addition we are able to provide a commissioning

management service if required.

E. COST MONITORING:

We shall assist the employer in the preparation of the project cost plan and in addition shall provide a full cost

monitoring and reporting service.
