ince 2005, the Saving Train has traveled Sthroughout the Pacific Northwest on a mission to rescue pets. Last year more than 800 dogs and cats were transferred from overcrowded shelters to SoHumane. Your gifts provide nutritious food, clean shelter and exceptional veterinary care for these pets who are homeless. People trust SoHumane and visit the Adoption Center to adopt a pet and offer a second chance for the dogs and cats in our care. Today the Saving Train represents a promise and a testament to SoHumane’s dedication to saving lives. We immediately settled in with each other, and I’m loving the new life. My big sister Daisy is a blast! It’s like we were made for each other. We both love to romp and roughhouse, and she knows how to gently set me straight when I get a little too rambunctious. Foster volunteers provide short-term care for dogs and cats. Being a foster parent is one of the most rewarding volunteer opportunities at SoHumane. All training, veterinary assistance and supplies are provided. Fostering can last from a few days to several months.
