Janet is moving onto new pastures as Chief Executive for Selby District Council and (DISCLAIMER: Any correspondence/articles printed in the Warbler are entirely the responsibility of the contributor) Assistant Chief Executive for North Yorkshire County Council and we wish her well for the future. Following the transformation phase at Ryedale District Council where services have been streamlined and the size of the council reduced in order to make it more efficient. However there are still many challenges that lie ahead; maintaining key services in the face of reduced funding from Central Government being one of them. SALSA VERDE With the recent heavy rainfall that we have been experiencing comes the threat of localised flooding. From what I have seen there has been little in the way of support from Highways Agency and even less from the Environmental Agency.
