La démarche méthodologique s’est focalisée sur la collecte des données à partir de 93 relevés phytosociologiques et des mesures dendrométriques, effectués suivant le mode d’utilisation des terres. La méthode stigmatiste de Braun-Blanquet a été adoptée pour l’exécution des relevés phytosociologiques. Après analyse et traitement des données par les logiciels CAP et Pc-Ord, cinq groupements végétaux et un faciès ont été identifiés et sont composés de 224 espèces réparties en 194 genres et 72 familles. Les Asteraceae (12,5 %) et les Poaceae (13,64 %) sont les familles les plus représentées. La richesse spécifique varie de 12 à 14 espèces, soit une moyenne de 12,67 ± 2,06. La densité des ligneux de circonférence supérieure ou égale à 31,4 cm est comprise entre 22 et 48 individus/ha. L’indice de Shannon et l’équitabilité de Piélou, varient respectivement de 0, 35 ± 0,55 à 1 ± 1,44 bits, et de 0,94 à 1. Les phanérophytes sont les plus représentés tandis que les espèces pantropicales sont les plus abondantes et les plus dominantes. La surface terrière varie entre 0,75 ± 0,36 et 18,64 ± 34,98 m²/ha. Les formations végétales identifiées présentent globalement une allure en “J renversé”, caractéristique des peuplements multispécifiques avec des valeurs du paramètre “c” de la distribution de Weibull proche de 1. On note une forte présence des individus de faible circonférence, synonyme de la pression que subissent ces formations végétales dont la conséquence est l’état dégradé du couvert végétal.     University of Abomey-Calavi Faculty of Agricultural Sciences REPORT ON THE CHOICE OF THE PRIORITY FAMILY LISTS OF INVASIVE ALIEN SPECIES AND THREATENED SPECIES PLANTS OF BENIN September 2016 Introduction In the framework of the Regional project funded by European Union (EU) through the program of Biodiversity Information for Development (BID), managed by the Secretariat of the Global Biodiversity information Facility (GBIFS) to address priorities of the consortium countries (Senegal, Guinea, Côte-d’Ivoire, Mali, Niger, DRC, Madagascar, and Benin) on data mobilization to advance knowledge on the distribution and modeling of invasive alien species and threatened species to inform decision in the countries involved in the consortium, we recommended that at each consortium country level, the lists of priority families belonging to both categories be establish consensually with in-country partners. The methods used and results obtained are presented below. Methods Case of Benin During the national workshop of 14th June 2016, we first asked partners of the project working in biodiversity conservation field (researchers, academics, NGO members, conservators…) to provide lists of species of invasive alien species and threatened species separately. Second, for each category of species, the provided lists were combined to select the ten priority families. Case of DRC The lists of each category of species were compiled during a national workshop held at the Herbarium INERA of the University of Kinshasa (IUK), from 26 to 27 July 2016. During that workshop, experts from several local institutions, holders of alien invasive and endangered plants data, met and achieved the priority families list of each category species.

Cassia is a large genus of around 5000 species. Cassia is annual under shrub mainly present in tropical countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and West- China. Viable seeds determined by floatation method were subjected to pre-treatments using control, 98% Sulphuric acid, wet heat(boiled or hot water)and physical abrasion for 1,2 and 3 minutes.

    Thesis Développement d'une méthodologie et optimisation d'un test colorimétrique pour la recherche de substances antimalariques d'origine végétale VARGAS, Sandra Abstract Ce travail présente une méthodologie pour la recherche de substances antimalariques d'origine naturelle. Elle implique l'utilisation des deux outils développés pour cette étude : un outil qualitatif (β-test) et une base de données (Track2nd). Le β-test est un test colorimétrique basé sur l'étude de la synthèse de la β-hématine, réaction spécifique au Plasmodium. Sa mise en place et son optimisation sur des extraits et des substances d'origine végétale permet d'avoir à disposition un test facile, rapide et peu couteux. Track2nd est un portail d'informations sur des plantes incluant des paramètres comme l'activité biologique et l'utilisation en médecine traditionnelle. Ces deux outils combinés permettent une première sélection d'extraits de plantes destinés à être testés sur le parasite par des instituts collaborateurs. Une fois la confirmation d'activité obtenue, un bioguidage avec le β-test est effectué afin d'isoler puis d'identifier le composé inhibiteur de la synthèse de la β-hématine. Reference VARGAS, Sandra.
