receptions. Big Brothers Big Sisters; Iowa Health; Master Builders; Pella Corporation; Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont Business; and The University of Iowa Foundation were among the corporate entities that held meetings, receptions, and took tours of the facility. Out-of-state rentals also saw a marked increase.

MUSEUM SHOP

The Art Center Museum Shop continued to promote understanding and appreciation of the Art Center’s exhibitions, collections, and architecture through the sale of contemporary design items. Retail Operations Director Sarah Jane Shimasaki and Art Center Board member Jeanne Levitt visited New York in for the International Gift Fair, purchasing new and unique items for the shop. A notable accomplishment in 2010 was the total reorganization and overall change to the layout of the Museum Shop. The fourth quarter exceeded all sales goals. A truly unexpected site at the Art Center—real reindeer on the lawn!
