In the Children’s Liturgy of the Word, children hear the scripture readings proclaimed and explained to them at an age appropriate level. During the 8:30 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. Masses, at the time the scriptures are to be read, the priest invites the children in grades K-3 to come to the front of church for the Children’s Liturgy of the Word. Adult volunteers then lead the children to the Chapel, located in the basement of the church, where the children hear and participate in the Word of God at their own level. At the time of the collection, the children are led back upstairs and return to their parents for the Eucharistic prayers.

All children aged K-3 attending the day’s 8:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. Mass are invited to participate. No pre- registration is required.

Adult, High School, and Middle School volunteers are needed during Mass to help lead, or assist in the Children’s Now Accepting 2016-2017 Registrations Liturgy of the Word. If you can help, please contact Melissa Milton-Pung at [email protected] or 517-230-6881.
