Lehigh Valley Children’s Hospital 2017-18 Wish List

Children at Lehigh Valley Children’s Hospital rely on our community’s generosity to brighten their hospital stay. Your donation of new, unused items are important in creating a comfortable and healing environment.

Due to infection control and to respect the privacy of our patients and families, we are unable to welcome groups of visitors into the hospital. We are happy to accept and distribute your donations to patients on your behalf.

GUIDELINES:  All items must be new.  All gifts must be UN-WRAPPED. If your gifts arrived wrapped, they will be unwrapped and inspected to assure they are safe and appropriate for our patients.  We cannot accept anything depicting specific religious, political or violent themes.  All food items must be commercially made and factory wrapped. We cannot accept homemade foods for safety and infection control reasons.  Stuffed animals and dolls must be no larger than 18”. Also no vending machine toys.

Service Project Ideas

Craft Supplies Drive (Construction Paper, crayons, colored pencils, markers, stickers etc.)

Board Game Drive (Specific games needed: Parcheesi, Sorry, Life, Yahtzee, Connect 4, Trouble, Scrabble, Dominoes, & Clue)

Movie/ Video Game Drive (No R or M ratings.)

Toiletry Drive Travel sized shampoo, conditioner, dry shampoo, body wash, face wash, lotion, deodorant, contact solution, toothbrush, and toothpaste. As well as contact cases, hair brushes, combs, pick combs, ponytail holders, and kids’ detangler.

Activity Bags (All items included in bag MUST be new) Please place all items in a gallon sized sealed Ziploc bag, then label bag with gender and age group. Age Group Items to Include in Bags Preschool Crayons, coloring sheets, bubbles, playdoh, stickers, card games, simple 2-4 craft kits and dolls/cars/action figures. School Age Crayons, coloring sheets, playdoh, bubbles, travel size games, deck of 5-8 cards, small craft kits and dolls/ action figures/ cars. Tween & Teen Colored pencils, coloring sheets, small craft kits, brain teasers, books, 9 & up travel size games, card games, word search puzzles, and mad libs.
