MATERIAL DATA SHEET

UbcH2/UBE2H, human recombinant Cat. # E2-607

Ubiquitin-conjugating H2 (UbcH2), also known as -conjugating Enzyme E2H (UBE2H), is a member of the Ubiquitin-conjugating (E2) enzyme family. UbcH2/UBE2H has a predicted molecular weight of 20.5 kDa. The human shares 100% amino acid sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs. Human UbcH2/UBE2H is highly expressed in skeletal and cardiac muscle, shows significant expression levels in kidney and placenta, and is expressed at low levels in liver, brain, lung, and spleen. TNF-alpha induces UbcH2/UBE2H expression via NF-κB, and SCL/Tal1 upregulates the expression of UbcH2/UBE2H during erythroid differentiation. Pathologically, a single nucleotide polymorphism within UbcH2/UBE2H is associated with autism. Furthermore, UbcH2/UBE2H has been reported as a putative oncogene for liver tumorigenesis.

Product Information Quantity: 50 | 100 µg X mg/ml (X M) in 50 mM HEPES pH 7.5, 200 mM NaCl, 10% Glycerol (v/v), Stock: 1 mM TCEP MW: 21 kDa > 90% by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by Colloidal Purity: Coomassie Blue stain.

Use & Storage Recombinant Human UbcH2/UBE2H is a member of the Ubiquitin•conjugating Enzyme (E2) family that receives Ubiquitin from a Ubiquitin•Activating Enzyme (E1) and subsequently interacts with a (E3) to Use: conjugate ubiquitin to substrate . Reaction conditions will need to be optimized for each specific application. We recommend an initial Recombinant Human UbcH2/UBE2H concentration of 0.1-1 μM. Storage: Store at -80°C. Avoid multiple freeze/ thaw cycles.
