The Center is teaming up with the Reds for a fundraiser. The Reds take on the at Great American Ball Park on June 10th at 12:35 pm. Simply purchase an outfield terrace ticket (approximately 10 rows in left field) at $20. For each ticket sold, the Center will receive $6.00. Thanks and enjoy the game!!! Tickets will go fast. SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM!! The Center again received a grant from the United Way to provide lunches through our own summer food program. We will have free lunches for children Monday through Friday from 12:00 -1:00 p.m. beginning on June 8th and running until August 14th. We will also serve food throughout the day for those who can’t make it during the lunch hour and will be sending back pack meals home on most weekends!

On May 20th, the Center hosted its monthly Parent Dinner and there were 16 children and 12 adults who received meals. Gina Ziegler made her famous five pound pizzas and we also had chips, three dessert pizzas and pop. The kids set up for the dinner, served their parents and cleaned up afterward. There were also 6 children who helped deliver meals in the neighborhood.

The Center received a grant from the United Way Youth Allocation Committee for an internet safety program during the summer. On Thursdays from 1-2 p.m. (beginning June 11th), we will be teaching children about the internet and developing an internet safety policy at the Center. The Logan County Sheriff’s Department and Bellefontaine Police Department will also talk to the children about issues such as: crime alerts, preventing identity theft, internet scams and consequences of misusing the internet. Summer Schedule - JUNE 8th through AUGUST 14th Neighborhood Clean Up - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Summer Food Program - Monday through Friday 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Movie Time - Mondays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Golf Academy - Tuesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. “Internet safety Program” - Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Free Swimming at Hoffman Pool- Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bowling at TP Lanes - Fridays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. We will have a field trip at the end of the summer to Young’s Dairy and the 10 kids who attend the most programs during the summer will get to go on the field trip. We will also go to two Columbus Clippers games (July 29th and August 5th). We will need a signed permission form from your parent/guardian before attending these activities. Space is limited on some events so we will try to take as many children as we can!

Upcoming Events BACK TO SCHOOL PICNIC Don’t forget to attend the Back to School Picnic this year that will again be hosted by the Center on August 8th from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. We will have free snow cones, hot dogs, popcorn, face painting, cookie decorating, games and more. We will also be giving away free school supplies and we will have a drawing for a free bike. Birthday Party will be held June 17th from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Center. We will have relay races and games outside (weather permitting) for prizes! There will also be snacks and cupcakes for everyone Parent Dinner will be held on June 24th from 5:00 -6:00 p.m. The kids will again cook dinner for their parents, serve their food for them and clean up afterwards.
