CONSISTENCY UNDER WILSON: Since the 2003-04 season, when Doug Wilson was named general manager of the Sharks, only the Pittsburgh Penguins have played in more Stanley Cup Playoff series than the San Jose Sharks entering postseason play this year . San Jose has advanced to the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 18 of their last 20 NHL seasons overall . On the chart below, each team that has qualified for the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs has already received an additional “Playoff Season” on this chart . However, each of those teams does not yet have a “Series Played” credited yet . So for instance, once their first round series begins, San Jose will have 26 “Series Played” and would receive an additional one for each series they advance . This is the same for all 2018 playoff teams . Additonally, each team’s W-L record will need to be adjusted accordingly as they progress thru the 2018 playoffs . Now the series shifts to St. Louis, where the home crowd last saw its team pull out a Game 7 double- overtime win over Dallas to advance on May 7th. ➢ In the only regular-season meeting in St. Louis this season, the Blues def. the Sharks, 4-0, on Nov. 9. • STL 3-4 at home this postseason (6-2 on the road – T-team record for most road wins in a single postseason) • SJ 2-4 on the road this postseason Jordan Binnington on Game 2: “Pretty solid game tonight. We had a good start, we were disciplined. When they tied it up, we stayed composed. That's really important, this time of year especially. We enjoyed the moment and competed hard until the end.” SJ coach Peter DeBoer on Game 2: “The story of the game was we didn't have enough participants across the board. I thought Logan Couture was pretty good, a couple of other guys ... It's tough to win this time of year if you don't have everybody going, and I thought they got contributions from everybody, like we did in the first night.” DeBoer: “The one thing I take comfort in is our character, our ability to bounce back and ability to recognize what we've got to fix it.
