We Connected You. We Supported You. We Strengthened the Long Blue Line. We Gave Back. 2014 Annual Report and Honor Roll of Donors From the President In 2014 we connected you, we supported you, we strengthened the Long Blue Line, we gave back, and now we thank you! This annual report is one massive thank you note from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Alumni Association to you. It’s your work. We are humbled to have had a positive impact on the Coast Guard, the Academy, and the Corps of Cadets, through you. Our Annual Report tells the story of that impact by sharing what we accomplished, who was impacted, and how we made it happen. Through our collective efforts to pay it forward we provided $1.9 million in support to the Academy, completed the L44 campaign and gifted the last boat to the Academy, built the Columbarium, embarked on our first multi-project comprehensive campaign, and so much more. The health of our organization is strong with $32,110,185 in total liabilities and assets. Our complete 2014 audited financials can be found on our website, www.cgaalumni.org/financials. I hope you take the time to read this story and see evidence of your giving, and of the stewardship of the Association staff and the Board of Directors. We would not be where we are today without the support of our alumni, parents and friends. Thank you! He was misinformed that it was here in the Alumni Center. After a lengthy and extensive search, we were able to locate it on the Academy grounds. The alum had already given up on the search and had gone with friends to the cocktail party at Leamy Hall. It was here that a member of the staff found him and drove him over to Yeaton Hall. Not only was the bell of the ship on the quarter deck, but photos of his former shipmates and other memorabilia were also there. Since he was unable to attend the decommissioning ceremony it meant a lot to him to finally see it all on display! The thanks and gratitude he expressed was so heartfelt.
