    Riprende il nostro viaggio all’interno del Minardi Team e, in questo nuovo capitolo, affronteremo insieme il momento più importante, l’esordio nel Mondiale di Formula 1, al Gran Premio del Brasile sul tracciato di Rio nonostante i vari problemi legati ad un debutto così importante 1985: Il sogno diventa realtà Nel 1984 Gian Carlo Minardi era riuscito ad accumulare un grande bagaglio professionale come Team Manager e il suo Minardi Team aveva attirato grande attenzione su di se, nonostante i risultati ottenuti fino a quel momento non avessero ripagato pienamente gli sforzi. Da qualche anno ormai Gian Carlo Minardi pensava al grande salto di categoria, alla Formula 1, a quel mondo dove anche i più grandi e potenti personaggi erano andati in contro a numerose difficoltà per via degli elevati costi. Questo però non fermò Minardi che fissò per l’anno successivo il debutto nella massima serie, decidendo di andare avanti nonostante la mancanza di uno sponsor miliardario alle spalle che potesse finanziare la nascita della F1 romagnola: supporter che andavano trovati strada facendo, anche perché ormai il Minardi Team era composta da 22 persone, troppi per un F.2 ma pochi per l’avventura in F.1 e quindi bisognava trovare nuovi finanziatori, i quali erano però interessati solamente alla massima categoria. The landmark Miura was introduced as a rolling chassis at the 1965 Turin Auto Salon. The new, mid-engine Lamborghini was a huge hit and remarkably, even without coachwork, orders were placed during the show. That vindicated the three men who conspired to create the Miura. Lamborghini engineers Bob Wallace, Gian Paolo Dallara and Paolo Stanzani worked secretly after hours to create the Miura. They had a tough sell to bring their clandestine mid-engine supercar project to life simply because the Miura concept was at odds with founder Ferruccio Lamborghini's original philosophy. But it worked. Lamborghini gave his engineers a free hand believing that the the Miura was radical and exotic enough that it might become a potent marketing tool even if it didn't sell. He was correct beyond his wildest dreams. Named for an especially ferocious strain of Spanish fighting bull, the Miura made its debut at the 1966 Geneva motor show. The advanced P400 (its model number: posteriori four-liter with its V12 engine mounted transversely) stole the show. When it was parked in front of the Casino in Monte Carlo during Grand Prix weekend alarm bells sounded from Stuttgart to Coventry and especially in Maranello and Modena. "The Miura rewrote the rules," said Bill Warner, founder and Chairman of the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance.

Bucharest city centre was transformed into a race circuit over the weekend of May 17th - 20th, with a 3.111 km circuit, designed by Hermann Tilke, circumnavigating the gigantic Romanian parliamentary buildings. Despite rain, 69,000 spectators turned up over the weekend to watch the FIA GT Championship, the FIA GT3 European Cham- pionship, the Lloyds TSB Insurance British Formula Three International Series and the Logan Dacia Cup. They were treated to a spectacular FIA GT race, which only saw one safety car period despite heavy rain, resulting in a fine win for Scuderia Playteam Sarafree’s Maserati MC 12 of Bertolini and Piccini in GT1. The Italian duo finished nearly 40 seconds ahead of the All-Inkl.com Lamborghini Murciélago of Christophe Bouchut and Stefan Mücke. Having already won in Zhuhai, Bouchut and Mücke thus reclaimed the lead of the GT1 Drivers Championship. Third went to Vitaphone Racing team, with the nr 2 Maserati MC 12 of Christian Montanari and Miguel Ramos, both of whom claimed their first-ever FIA GT podium finishes.
