It has endured through time to be today’s unrivaled fashion leader in wall finishes. The feel of its smooth tactile, dare we say sensual surface, with its dimensional integrated colour, oozes luxury and quality. Prized by those that have a wall of this artistic creation, desired by those who don’t, it fits every 21st Century modern decorating scheme. Venetiano lime based polished plaster applied in the traditional way, that is with trowels and Japan spatu- las, in the hands of an expert, is breathtaking. That does not mean the average painter cannot complete this finish to a high standard, with a little practice and learning from one of our on line teaching tools, good results will always be attained. Texturline offers training North America and Europe so that you can hone the skills required to become a qualified tradesperson. Spatulato is lovely sister to burnished Venetian plaster, it is very similar application, however for Spatulato the burnishing and polishing is replaced with a topcoat of tinted Texturtop wax. This system is by far the easiest and quickest method to produce an acrylic venetian plaster as its self polishing tinted waxing system tones and shines all in one appli- cation. The two finishes above & below though a slight step below in skill level of Venetiano, they are none the less of the highest standard. The experience required to apply them is well within the abilities of anybody who has prepared wall for painting with spackle or drywall compound. The tools required are the same and execution is fast and easy by virtue of the product , that allows wet to wet application, with no mess ups. The material dries fast and using a cross hatch method there are no overlap lines on the finished décor. To complete this trio Acrylic Stucco Antico the most popular polished plaster we ever introduced to the north American market. Easy to apply, versatile in every way and exhibits all the quality of a lime based plaster with- out all the hype. Texturline has sold enough of this product to coat a wall wrapped around the earth many times. Why choose it over the completion, as Paul Shivkumar of Artifex Studio once put it “It has never failed me.” That speaks for itself as his sample does>>>>>>>> 4 BACK Texturline Imported polished plasters Marmorino is well known as a classic Venetian plas- ter. However, its origins are much older, dating to ancient Roman times. We can see evidence of it to- day in the villas of Pompeii and in various Roman structures. In addition, it was written about in Vitru- vius's “De Architectura”, a 1st Century B.C. history of Rome. Marmorino was rediscovered centuries later after the discovery of Vitruvius's ancient trea- tise in the 15th century. This „new‟ plaster con- formed well to the classical ideal that had recently became fashionable in the 15th century Venetian la- goon area. Unlike the marble it has a single soft color with small shadings. A natural material, it is made of lime and ground marble. Hardness and resistance are characteristic to Marmorino, even in moist environments like a bathroom. Marmorino is highly appreciated for its aesthetic effect, unique when properly lighted. It is used in sophisticated environments such as reception areas, offices, and condos. Marmorino was generally white to imitate the stone of Istria, which was most often used in Venetian construction, but was occasionally decorated with frescoes to imitate the marble, which Venetian merchants brought home from their voyages to the Orient. In this period of the Republic of Venice, merchants felt obliged to return home bearing pre- cious, exotic marble as a tribute to the beauty of their own cities Marmorino Carrara white marble plaster comes in two grades fine and coarse to allow variations. Also there are additives available to enhance the final result, Coccio pesto (terra cotta), Salt and pepper sand (black and grey), white Carrara marble. Polishing will hone the finish to a sheen. Tadelakt comes in a dry form and required the addition of water, the working time is about a day. It can be colored with pigment and polished to a high sheen. Enjoying a recent surge of popularity in the archi- tectural and design communities, Tadelakt, for cen- turies, has been appreciated for its durability and aesthetically pleasing exotic appearance. Tadelakt may be used in wet areas such as showers and spas, as well as on floors and countertops. Originating in Marrakesh in Morocco this antique finish embel- lishes the walls of villas and palaces there. The unique combination of sand, clay and Hydraulic lime has been taken by the chemists in Italy dupli- cating the original formula. 5 BACK Structural textures by Texturline the paint you can feel Structural texture finishes bring a rich embellish- ment to any surface adding deep lustrous reflec- tive tones that give a unique character impossi- ble to achieve with any other system.
