Postcode OX18 2SX - the postcode is to be used in conjunction with the directions and map what3words skippers.bedrooms.ribs Directions The entrance to the Friars Court caravan site is on the A4095, on the north side of the River Thames at Radcot, one mile south of the village of Clanfield. The entrance is marked by a ’Caravan & Motorhome Club’ sign on a white fence next to a bridge with a priority ‘give way’ sign before the Ye Olde Swan pub. If approaching from Faringdon (A4095) cross two bridges with traffic lights at Radcot and turn sharp right after going over the priority ‘give way’ bridge just beyond Ye Ole Swan pub. Inside the site entrance is a gate secured with a combination code lock. The code is shown in your Booking Confirmation email. For security do not disclose this code to third parties and keep the gate closed at all times. Arrival Between 10.00am and 8.00pm Departure No later than 4.00pm Island CL Once through the entrance gate take the right fork and cross the stone bridge to the three acre island. Pitch next to the river but avoid driving across the middle of the island as this is low-lying land and the ground can remain soft well in to the summer months. Facilities; drinking water, elsan disposal point, rubbish bins. Cricket Bat Field Once through the entrance gate take the left fork down in to the field, bear right and follow the track to the Cricket Bat Field. Pitch either by the river (subject to space) or within the field. Facilities: drinking water. The sites are inspected once a day, please check your booking summary to ensure you know which field you have booked to staying on. Friars Court caravan site rules, terms and conditions 1. Only members of the Caravan & Motorhome Club with a caravan, motorhome or campervan are permitted to stay on site. We reserve the right to refuse a booking and retain any deposit or balance paid in the event a valid membership card cannot be shown on request 2. All pitches are on grass. Pitch locations may be allocated but cannot be reserved 3. There must be at least 6 metres spacing between an adjacent caravan, motorhome or campervan 4. If staying for 21 days or more a van may be asked to move at least once to allow the grass to regrow 5. There is a 2-night minimum stay at weekends and a 3-night minimum stay during bank holiday weekends 6. Small pup tents (max 2) are permitted when with a booked caravan. Individual tents / camping is not permitted 7. Arrival between 10.00am and 8.00pm. Departure no later than 4.00pm 8. Children of all ages are welcome. Please note there is unguarded river access in both fields 9. Well behaved dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead at all times while on Friars Court land. Owners are responsible for clearing up after their dogs and disposing of the waste in a responsible way 10. There is a 10mph speed limit across the entire site 11. Maximum weight - 4 tonnes, maximum length - 8 metres 12. Both the Island CL and Cricket Bat Field have access to a drinking water tap. Rubbish bins and an elsan disposal point are located by the Island CL. Please wrap disposable nappies, wet wipes and similar items in a bag and place them in a rubbish bin - do not put them in the elsan disposal point 13. There is no electricity hook-up. Generators must not be used between the hours of 6.00pm and 9.00am 14. Firepits are not permitted: above-ground barbeques and chimeneas are allowed 15. Fishing is permitted from the banks of the Island CL or Cricket Bat Field from the 16th June. A rod permit for the local angling club is required and can be purchased on site 16. Uncontrolled dogs or aggressive and abusive behaviour towards staff or other caravaners will not be tolerated; we reserve the right to tell offenders to leave the site with no refund for unstayed nights Payment & cancellation conditions 17. On booking we require your contact details and a valid Caravan & Motorhome Club membership number along with full payment for bookings below £30 or a 50% deposit (minimum £30) for longer bookings. These payments are non-refundable. Any remaining balance is due 14 days before arrival. Payment may be made by Visa, Delta or Mastercard 18. No refunds will be given on bookings cancelled within 14 days of arrival 19. In the event of a ‘no-show’, late arrival or departure earlier than the booked dates no refunds will be made 20. Bookings may be transferred, subject to availability, to a different date within the same season providing more than 14 days’ notice is given 21. The Island CL and Cricket Bat Field are riverside locations and during periods of high rainfall the land may become waterlogged or even flood. Should such conditions arise we reserve the right to close the sites and cancel bookings at which point any monies for unstayed nights will be refunded. Date protection 22.
