I was also reminded of the small picture of Fr Triest in my office in Rome which bears the text: “In this picture you see the true im- age of mortal Triest, but who will succeed in reviving his virtues?” Indeed, on that day we saw Triest, in his mortality, but we received the strong invitation to live and work in his spirit, and to make sure that the poor, whom he called his best friends, enjoy a glimpse of God’s love. ¶
