President, Broadcasting and Content

As President, Broadcasting and Content, Randy Lennox leads Bell Media’s conventional and English-language specialty teams, oversees all of Bell Media’s English independent and in-house productions for conventional, specialty, and pay television, bringing the company’s programming and productions teams together under one leader. A veteran entertainment executive with more than 25 years’ experience in the industry, Lennox also oversees all English and French radio and local television broadcasting assets.

Previously, Lennox was the President and CEO of Universal Music, the country’s leading music company, where he helped elevate Canadian talent to the international stage, including Justin Bieber, , Drake, Hedley, , , The Tenors, The Tragically Hip, and , among others. Recognized by Macleans and Life for his talent and production work as one of the Top 50 most influential people in Canada and Toronto, respectively, Lennox has been an integral part of the production of THE JUNO AWARDS and the MUCH MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS for many years. He was also executive producer of CTV’s Olympic Winter Games anthem “I Believe” and is an executive producer for CANADA’S WALK OF FAME.

Over the past decade, while the music industry has been tackling the biggest challenges in its history – including the shift to digital listening and its monetization – Lennox delivered the leadership and vision to help Universal Music Canada thrive during this period of change. Lennox has been honoured seven times with the Executive of the Year distinction at Canadian Music Week, and under his leadership, Universal was named CMW’s Music Company of the Year for 15 consecutive years. Lennox was also named Executive of the Year by the Worldwide Radio Summit in 2014.

Lennox has been honoured as a member of the Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Hall of Fame and sits on the board of directors for Music Canada, CARAS, and Canada’s Walk of Fame; the board of governors for Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall; and the culture advisory board for Ontario.

Lennox’s philanthropic time and efforts have helped raised the profiles of numerous charities and causes both nationally and internationally. In 2011, Lennox won a for Single of the Year for producing “Wavin' Flag,” a single that raised more than $2 million in disaster relief funds for Haiti. Lennox is a director of the Smilezone Foundation, a Canadian charity that aims to improve the lives of children facing illness, disabilities, and physical and emotional obstacles.
