Montréal’s own, Vito V is one of Canada’s premiere and fastest‐rising DJ’s. Vito V is celebrated for writing and producing dancefloor hits and holds the titles of DJ, producer, remixer and radio host of NJR and Virgin radio in Montréal, Québec. Vito V’s first single “Billionaire” features Jenson Vaughan (Singer/Songwriter). The single was just serviced to radio and immediately added into rotation on Virgin radio in Montreal.

Project overview: Following a self-imposed exile from the rock and metal scene that lasted a few years after his departure from HELLOWEEN and solo career, Hamburg-based singer Michael Kiske, accepted an invitation in 2004 to be part of a Melodic Rock oriented musical project put together by Frontiers Records’ President Serafino Perugino.

The resulting debut album from PLACE VENDOME brought Kiske back to a more straight ahead rock sound. It was very accessible and melodic and far from the heavy metal stereotypes of blood, violence and hate that Kiske had decided to move away from. He collaborated for the first time with PINK CREAM 69’s Dennis Ward, Kosta Zafiriou and Uwe Reitenauer with Gunther Werno (VANDENPLAS) on keyboards. In a quite ironic twist of fate, Michael found himself working with members of PINK CREAM 69, whose original singer, Andy Deris had taken his place in HELLOWEEN after his departure.

The critical and fan acceptance of the first PLACE VENDOME album planted the seeds for a second recording entitled “Streets of Fire”, which was recorded in 2008. The original concept was slightly changed, with some outside writers such as Robert Säll (Work of Art), Ronny Milianowicz (Saint Deamon) and Torsti Spoof (Leverage) handling the bulk of the songwriting, with Dennis Ward still managing the recording and production sessions.

Following his stint with the band UNISONIC, Kiske decided to go back to the PLACE VENDOME concept and make another album with more melodic rock oriented songs. These songs have once again been selected by Frontiers Records’ President Serafino Perugino and include outstanding contributions from outside writers like Magnus Karlsson (Primal Fear), Timo Tolkki (ex-Stratovarius), Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline), Roberto Tiranti and Andrea Cantarelli (Labyrinth, A Perfect Day), Tommy Denander (Radioactive), Sören Kronqvist (Sunstorm, Issa), and Brett Jones.

Dennis Ward once again produced and mixed the album with Dirk Bruineberg (Consortium Project), Gunter Werno (Vandenplas) and Uwe Reitenauer (Pink Cream 69) contributing to the band efforts and completing the lineup. Another total masterpiece from Kiske and Place Vendome is about to hit the market. A definite must for all Melodic Rock fans!

Project overview: For more than twenty-five years, Billy Greer has definitely been the Seventh Key in the ongoing success of the classic rock band Kansas. With his unique voice and bass style, Billy has elegantly carved his own distinctive sound within one of rock's finest bands.

In 2001, he launched his own solo project, ironically called Seventh Key together with former partner in crime, guitarist, songwriter and producer, Mike Slamer with whom he had been playing with in the band Streets in the early ‘80s.

Project overview: Iron Chic is a melodic punk band from Huntington Station, NY. Formed back in 2008, the band released a 5-song demo tape, followed by the Shitty Rambo 7inch the next year, and finally their debut full-length, Not Like This, in 2010 - all on Long Island-based Dead Broke Rekerds. The band garnered quite a bit of attention, not only for their music, but also because they were hailed as a "supergroup" (Punknews.org), featuring members of Latterman, Small Arms Dealer, and more. Immersed in the DIY scene, this release finds Iron Chic recording the album themselves, and coming out poised for a bigger release than they ever have before.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) includes a number of original songs composed by alternative/modern rock kingpin Beck.  Il Pergolese pays tribute to 18th century composer Giovanni Battista Pergolesi (1710 1736), and considers his relationship to the art music and the popular music of Naples, from a highly contemporary perspective.  The text of the Stabat Mater translated into Neapolitan by Maria Pia De Vito and the opera arias, are transformed into songs and vivid narrative, open frames providing the key to reinterpreting Pergolesi.  François Couturiers arrangements widen Pergolesi’s structures, offering space for improvisational interaction. But this is a real group project, a discourse among acoustic sounds, with rhythms of drums and metals, and sampled and real-time electronics. Sound textures grow dense with the richness of instrumental counterpoint or are set free in electronic soundscapes and along coloristic, percussive lines, as cello becomes voice or voice becomes an instrument.  The project was commissioned by the Festival Pergolesi-Spontini of Jesi in 2011. The present version was recorded in Lugano in December 2012, and produced by Manfred Eicher.

Project overview: (description of release and brief bio)

London band Belleruche is made up of Kathrin deBoer (vocals), Ricky Fabulous (guitar) and DJ Modest (decks); the band was formed after Ricky and Modest, who played bizarre turntable and guitar sets in London bars, bumped in to Kathrin in the market one day; she did some singing over a cup of tea with the pair and Belleruche was born. The trio’s distinctive sound is a self‐styled brand of handmade hip hop blues soul: think Sarah Vaughan, Django Reinhardt and Cut Chemist stuck in a lift with Russian beer and a sampler.
