Progress Report 2. During the reporting period, the Waste Recovery Projects Vetting Sub-committee (WPPVSC) processed 57 applications including 38 applications1 of Waste Recovery Project and 19 applications of the newly launched Source Separation of Domestic Waste Scheme at the four meetings held on 28 June 2005, 10 August 2005, 16 December 2005 and 24 March 2006 - No. of projects vetted − Projects approved (including 5 waste recovery 23 projects and 18 Source Separation of Waste projects) − Projects approved with conditions 1 − Projects deferred 4 − Projects referred to Environmental Education and 2 Community Action Vetting Sub-committee or Source Separation of Domestic Waste Scheme − Projects rejected (including 15 waste recovery 16 projects and 1 Source Separation of Waste projects) − Projects withdrawn 11 Total: 57 3. The total approved amount for the 5 waste recovery projects and 18 Source Separation of Waste Projects is $1,094,021.33 and $574,522.95 respectively. Information of the 38 waste recovery projects and the 19 Source Separation of Waste projects are at Appendix. 1 Of the 38 applications, 16 (project no 83 to 102) were reported to be received and processed in the last report from March 2004 to February 2005. Among these 16 applications, 1 was approved, 1 was approved with conditions, 1 was referred to EE&CA, 6 were rejected and 7 were withdrawn in this report period from April 2005 to March 2006 (as incorporated in the table in paragraph 2 above).
