The conference addresses air quality in general and particulate matter specifically. Atmospheric particulate matter arises both from primary emissions and from secondary formation in the atmosphere. It is one of the least well-understood local and regional air pollutants, has complex implications for climate change, and is perhaps the pollutant with the highest health relevance. It also poses many challenges to monitoring. By WeBIOPATR, we aim to link the research communities with relevance to particulate matter with the practitioners of air quality management on all administrative levels, in order to facilitate professional dialogue and uptake of newest research into practice. The workshops usually draw an audience of about 70, and attract media attention in Serbia. It enjoys support of the responsible authorities, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Environment, and the Serbian Environmental Agency whose sponsorship is indispensable and gratefully acknowledged. We enjoy also support of international bodies such as the WHO. The 1st WeBIOPATR Workshop was held in Beograd, 20.-22. May 2007, associated with a project funded by the Research Council of Norway. The 2nd workshop was held in Mecavnik, Serbia, 28.8.-1.9. 2009. WeBIOPATR2011 was held in Beograd 14.-17. 11. 2011 and for the first time, included a dedicated student workshop. WeBIOPATR2013 was held in Beograd 2.-4. 10. 2013. It covered the traditional PM research and management issues, discussions on how to encourage citizens to contribute to environmental governance, and how to develop participatory sensing methods. WeBIOPATR2015 was held in Beograd 14.-16.10. 2015. Own sessions were devoted to sensor technologies for air quality monitoring, utilizing information and input from the EU FP7 funded project CITI-SENSE (http://co.citi-sense.eu) and the EU COST action EuNetAir (www.eunetair.it). We have now the pleasure to present to you the proceedings of the 6th conference held in Beograd 6.-8.9. 2017. We are excited to have contributions from old friends and new acquaintances, and we are especially pleased with a wider than before Western Balkan participation. The contributions were reviewed. The language editing was performed by Dr Simon Smith, PhD, to whom we would like to extend out sincere thanks. Technical manuscript preparation was graciously done by Dr Milos Davidovic, PhD, to whom we are very grateful. Abstract Detailed distribution pattern of colubrid snakes in Serbia is still inadequately described, despite the long historical study. In this paper, we provide accurate distribution of seven species, with previously published and newly accumulated faunistic records compiled. Comparative analysis of faunas among all Balkan countries showed that Serbian colubrid fauna is among the most distinct (together with faunas of Slovenia and Romania), due to small number of species. Zoogeographic analysis showed high chorotype diversity of Serbian colubrids: seven species belong to six chorotypes. South-eastern Serbia (Pčinja River valley) is characterized by the presence of all colubrid species inhabiting our country, and deserves the highest conservation status at the national level.

    1 Human Rights in Transition – Serbia 2001 Introduction The situation of human rights in Serbia was largely influenced by the foregoing circumstances. Although the severe repression characteristic especially of the last two years of Milosevic’s rule was gone, there were no conditions in place for dealing with the problems accumulated during the previous decade. All the mechanisms necessary to ensure the exercise of human rights - from the judiciary to the police, remained unchanged. However, the major concern of citizens is the mere existential survival and personal security. Furthermore, the general atmosphere in the society was just as xenophobic and intolerant as before. The identity crisis of the Serb people and of all minorities living in Serbia continued. If anything, it deepened and the relationship between the state and its citizens became seriously jeopardized by the problem of Serbia’s undefined borders. The crisis was manifest with regard to certain minorities such as Vlachs who were believed to have been successfully assimilated. This false belief was partly due to the fact that neighbouring Romania had been in a far worse situation than Yugoslavia during the past fifty years. In considerably changed situation in Romania and Serbia Vlachs are now undergoing the process of self identification though still unclear whether they would choose to call themselves Vlachs or Romanians-Vlachs. Considering that the international factor has become the main generator of change in Serbia, the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Serbia believes that an accurate picture of the situation in Serbia is absolutely necessary. It is essential to establish the differences between Belgrade and the rest of Serbia, taking into account its internal diversities.

Kr. poljodjelstvo se polako prenosi u Europu s Bliskog istoka i postaje pouzdaniji izvor hrane od lova. Poljodjelstvo se širilo na sjever i zapad, od Grčke prema sjeveru i ostatku Europe, a posljedica toga je nastajanje trajnih naselja. Oko 5000. g. pr. Kr. po Sredozemnom moru plove prvi poznati brodovi, a oko 4500. g. pr. Kr. u jugoistočnoj Europi se prvi puta upotrebljava plug. U razdoblju oko 4200. g. pr. Kr. na sjeveru Njemačke, u Poljskoj i južnoj Skandinaviji pripitomljene su životinje i uzgajuju se usjevi. Redovite žetve osiguravaju dovoljno hrane, stoga ljudi razvijaju nove vještine i nastaju prvi obrti - lončarija!! Kao posljedica razvoja lončarije u stalnim domovima bilo je moguće čuvati posuđe potrebno za držanje vode i žitarica. Poljodjelci su morali ostati na jednome mjestu zbog njegovanja usjeva koje su zasijali, nastaju nastambe i prve kolibe od sušenog blata, pokrivene trskom i slamom; u sjevernijim predjelima kao građevni materijal koristi se drvo, ovakav način života omogućava razvoj sela. Neolitska revolucija Ljudi su pripitomili i naučili uzgajati goveda, ovce, svinje i koze koje osim mlijeka i mesa daju i vunu i kožu.
