Building Control: Internal walls all gone and should collapse into building. External walls and gables unsound. This area will be out of bounds for a considerable time. The building is 14m high. Structural Engineer: Asbestos survey was complete and all asbestos had been removed from building (paperwork to be provided). All personnel withdrawn to a safe distance due to possible signs of collapse. USAR being mobilised with monitoring equipment to detect building movement. 4 operational sectors in use 3 functional sectors in use 2 HVPs pumping water from street hydrant in Southernhay and River Exe approximately 900m away. 9 Main jets 1 ground monitor 4 jets from ALP 5 CAF jets 2 BA in use Gas engineers attempting to isolate supply to affected properties. 0843 S40(1) FOIA 2000 went over the hose ramps, this caused exhaust to blow as it hit the ramp now making loud noise.

S40(1) FO Not currently happy with top right hand corner of the hotel a foam (CAFs) will shortly be used to try and attack hot spots. Press deadlines have all been met. A good walk around the incident has been conducted. Will be handing incident over to local authorities at some point in the coming days, need a plan for demolition and cordon control. Preparation needed for this transition. Change of IC imminent – handover will be needed.
