ACCOUNTING MANAGEMENT Program Description The Accounting Management program provides the fundamentals necessary to be able to solve business-oriented accounting problems. Students obtain extensive hands-on experience working “real-world” accounting problems including: payroll, cost and tax. Students learn how to maintain reliable accounting records both manually and in a computerized environment. Perhaps more importantly, students learn how to interpret and communicate accounting information to non-accounting personnel for organizational use. As an Accounting Management graduate, you will be prepared for a position as an entry-level, junior or paraprofessional accountant. Training in accounting is invaluable for management at all levels. Digital Media Production Digital media production majors gain experience in all stages of production. Their first year, students are encouraged to take production courses, which give them hands-on training operating audio and video equipment and reporting broadcast news. Students are encouraged to get involved with KALA radio and SAUtv studios. Passion to learn, to discover, to do are the hallmarks of a person who will become successful in digital media production. Ambrose Advantages Hands-on skills and classes. The digital media production major offers a balance of hands-on skills development lab classes and concept and critique discussion classes. From day one, you’ll be invited to contribute your ideas and to participate in our media outlets. We have a student newspaper, a campus radio station with three program streams, and a campus television operation with a 24-hour programmed channel on the Mediacom cable system. The department also maintains several social media outlets. Hit the airwaves. Radio station KALA programs a diverse mix of music, ranging from college rock to Latin, jazz to blues, for more than 110 hours a week. With our live features, news and remote coverage of SAU sports, you can quickly join the ranks of our well-known on-air personalities. Our television station offers an array of state-of-the-art broadcast equipment students use to apply their classroom learning. Our television outlet, SAUtv, produces local shows and carries cable programs with an education and technology focus. St. Ambrose programs include “SAUtv Dateline,” a student-produced newscast of university events, live SAU athletic games and pre-game shows, and lectures. -

Appendix attached to the Office of the Vice President for Quad Cities and Planning’s Annual Report QC Marketing Western Illinois University March 2017 This annual report is a collaborative effort by all members of Western Illinois University – Quad Cities Office of the Vice President for Quad Cities and Planning. The position of Director of Marketing for the Quad Cities Campus was vacated in August 2016. The university then created a transition plan to hire a University Director of Marketing and a Quad Cities Public Information Specialist. Both of these positions are expected to be filled by the start of fiscal year 2018. This document mostly focuses on campus marketing efforts from August 2016 to the present. During this time, all of the responsibilities for Quad Cities campus social media and some for advertising fell to the members of the Office of the Vice President for Quad Cities and Planning. The overall objective of QC Marketing is to increase awareness and visibility of Western Illinois University - Quad Cities as an institution of academic excellence, and dedication to higher values in higher education and service to the community through a comprehensive, integrated marketing and promotions strategy and continued involvement in community and news that relates to our students, prospective students and external populations. Additional goals are to increase enrollment and to tell the Western Illinois University-Quad Cities story. A. SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY Program Description What is a Surgical Technologist? Surgical Technologists are allied health professionals, who are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to patients. Surgical technologists work under the supervision of a surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Surgical Technologists possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique. They combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation of instruments and technologies to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. In addition to working in an Operating Room, Surgical Technologists with their AAS Degree will have many job opportunities which can expand into different roles. With the Degree you could manage a Sterile Processing Department, go into medical device sales or even teach in a Surgical Technology Program. The AAS Degree in Surgical Technology is rapidly becoming the preferred SCOTT COMMUNITY entry level for employers. EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION Program Description Scott and Muscatine Community Colleges Early Childhood Education Program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive background in early childhood education. MCC provides the certificate and diploma, and SCC offers certificate, diploma and AAS degree. Meaningful on- site practical experiences along with lecture, hands on learning and theory round out the basic education provided. In the late 1990’s, SCC established a program to educate students in the field of early childhood education to help the growing need for educators in the community. UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Plaintiff, v. NEXSTAR BROADCASTING GROUP, INC., and MEDIA GENERAL, INC., Defendants. COMPETITIVE IMPACT STATEMENT Pursuant to Section 2(b) of the Antitrust Procedures and Penalties Act (“APPA” or “Tunney Act”), 15 U.S.C. § 16(b)-(h), Plaintiff United States of America (“United States”) files this Competitive Impact Statement relating to the proposed Final Judgment submitted for entry in this civil antitrust proceeding. I. NATURE AND PURPOSE OF THE PROCEEDING Defendants Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. (“Nexstar”) and Media General, Inc. (“Media General”) (collectively, “Defendants”) entered into an Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated January 27, 2016, pursuant to which Nexstar would acquire Media General for approximately $4.6 billion. Defendants compete head-to-head in the sale of broadcast television spot advertising in the following Designated Market Areas (“DMAs”): Roanoke-Lynchburg, Virginia; Terre Haute, Indiana; Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Green Bay-Appleton, Wisconsin; Lafayette, Louisiana; and Davenport, Iowa/Rock Island-Moline, Illinois (“Quad Cities”) (collectively, “the DMA Markets”). Defendants also compete in the DMA Markets for viewers who are multichannel video programming distributor (“MVPD”) subscribers. The United States filed a civil antitrust Complaint on September 2, 2016, seeking to enjoin the proposed acquisition. The Complaint alleges that the proposed transaction likely would lead to (1) higher prices for broadcast television spot advertising in each of the DMA Markets and (2) higher licensing fees for the retransmission of broadcast television programming to MVPD subscribers in each of the DMA Markets. These likely competitive effects would substantially lessen competition in violation of Section 7 of the Clayton Act, 15 U.S.C.
