• An Spidéal: (approx 2km west of the hotel) the village has all the services you may require
including supermarket, petrol station, ATM, pubs and restaurants, beaches etc. This historic
village is beautifully located overlooking Galway bay and the Aran Islands and an ideal base
for touring Conemara.
• Beachfront Walk: starting at Spiddal pier which is the on your first left after Spiddal village.
There is a designated walkway along the beachfront. This is suitable for all ages and fitness
levels.
• Spiddal Craft & Design Studios: located opposite the beach. Here you will find 10 craft
workers designing, creating, making and selling their work. Open 7 days a week.
• Standún: Department store specialising in traditional Irish designs [approx 1 km west from
the hotel]
• Spiddal Angling School: provides expert tuition and days out; for more information call 091-

• Salthill (approx 12km from the hotel) has a wide range of services including shops,
restaurants, amusements, public swimming pool, aquarium, promenade etc.

• Aran Islands: There are three islands of Inis Mór, Inis Meáin and Inis Oirr located off the
west coast of Galway. Daily ferries from Ros a Mhíl (091-566535) or Galway (568903)
service the islands as those an aeroplanes to Inis Mór, the largest of the three islands.
• St Bridget’s Garden: in Moycullen has a number of nature trails suitable for adults and
children.
