TITANS-JAGUARS SUPPLEMENTAL NOTES

TANNEHILL GOES FOR NINTH GAME WITH A 100+ : Last week against Cleveland, Titans registered a 104.8 passer rating, completing 29 of 45 passes for 389 yards, three and one . It was his third consecutive game to register a passer rating above 100.0.

With another passer rating this week of at least 100.0, he will tie the franchise record he established last season (Nov. 10–Dec. 8, 2019) of four consecutive starts with a 100.0 or better passer rating.

Additionally, a triple-digit passer rating this week would be his ninth of the season. That would break his own franchise record of eight such performances in 2019.

Most starts in a season with a passer rating of 100.0 or greater, franchise history:

Despite not starting the first six games of the 2019 campaign, over the past two seasons Tannehill is tied for the second-highest number of games with a 100.0 passer rating by a starting quarterback. His 16 such games are equal to the amount posted by , and , and only —with 17—has more.

Chargers/ 13 HENRY’S STREAK UNPRECEDENTED IN LAST 40 SEASONS: In last week’s game against the Cleveland Browns, Titans running back fumbled the ball for the first time in more than a calendar year. His last fumble prior to Sunday, including playoffs, was Dec. 1, 2019 at Indianapolis.

The fumble ended Henry’s streak of 439 rushing attempts and 462 scrimmage touches (rushing attempts and receptions) in the regular season and the postseason without a fumble. From Week 14 of 2019 through Week 12 of 2020, he was the NFL’s only player to register at least 175 rushing attempts without a fumble.

Another streak for Henry—consecutive games with at least 18 rushing attempts—came to an end against the Browns when he was limited to 15 carries. Until then he had 18 or more rushing attempts in 20 consecutive regular season and postseason games, which was the second-longest streak of its kind in the NFL since 1948. The only player with more consecutive 18-carry games in the regular season and postseason was , whose streak was 23 games with the Dallas Cowboys from 1995 to 1996.

Those two streaks by Henry overlapped to give him 17 consecutive regular season and postseason games with at least 18 rushing attempts and no fumbles. He was the first NFL player to do that in the last 40 seasons. Prior to Henry, the only players since 1981 with as many as 12 consecutive 18-carry/ zero-fumble games were (12 in 1998) and DeMarco Murray (12 in 2014).

DAVIS AMONG NFL’S MOST EFFICIENT PASS CATCHERS: Corey Davis produced the best statistics of his career last week against the Browns. The fourth-year caught 11 passes for a total of 182 yards, including a reception.

Davis continued his ascent among the NFL’s most efficient receivers in 2020. He has been targeted on 70 total passes and has turned those chances into a team-high 53 receptions and 801 receiving yards. Despite spending two games earlier in the year on the reserve/COVID-19 list, he is on pace to exceed the career highs he established in 2018 of 65 receptions and 891 receiving yards.

Davis is contributing an average of 11.4 yards per receiving target. Among all NFL players with at least 50 targets, he is tied with Seattle’s DK Metcalf for the third-highest average per target. Only Minnesota’s Justin Jefferson (12.4) and Houston’s Will Fuller (11.7) have fared better.

Davis’ teammate A.J. Brown has averaged 10.1 yards per target, which is tied (Travis Kelce) for the seventh-best average in the league.
