His four 20-win seasons are the most ever by a Loyola head coach, tied with George Ireland and . 4Moser has piloted the program to three postseason berths during the last six sea- sons (2015 – CBI champions; 2018 – NCAA Final Four; 2019 – NIT First Round). Prior to the 2014-15 campaign, the Ramblers had made just one postseason appearance (1985 NCAA Sweet 16) since the 1980-81 campaign. 4Loyola has ranked among the nation’s best feld goal shooting teams in each of the last four seasons. One of the most efcient ofensive teams in NCAA Division I during that span, the Ramblers have ranked among the top 17 in the country in feld goal percentage each year since the start of the 2016-17 campaign, sitting tied for fourth in 2019-20, at 49.7 percent. Through three games in 2020-21, as a team, Loyola is converting shots at an impressive 54.9 percent (90-for-164) clip. 4Free throw shooting was Achilles heel last season. Since the start of the 2018-19 campaign, the Ramblers are connecting on only 65.6 percent (805-for-1,227) of their foul shots. In the three seasons prior to 2018-19, Loyola was a 72.2 percent (1,252-for- 1,734) free throw shooting team. 4Loyola has allowed 70 or more points just seven times in the last 50 games. 4Senior guard Lucas Williamson is averaging 13.3 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.3 apg and 1.8 spg, burying 58.1 percent (18-for-31) of his feld goal attempts and 53.3 percent (8-for-15) of his triple tries in Loyoal’s last four true road games. 4In their last eight games versus nonconference opponents, the Ramblers are permitting just 57.0 ppg and holding foes to 39.2 percent (167-for-426) accuracy from the feld, including a meager 31.7 percent (57-for-180) from three-point range. 4Loyola has put an emphasis on shooting more threes this season and cast up 22 or more treys in each of the frst two outings. The last time the Ramblers hoisted 22 or more triple tries in back-to-back outings was March 3 and 4, 2018, versus Brad- ley (27) and Illinois State (24) at the MVC Championship. Loyola drained 10 threes against Lewis on December 5, and has buried double-digit treys just three times in the last 45 games. 2020-21 LOYO& MEN’S BASKETBALL GAME NOTES LOYO& AT WISCONSIN
