Teacher Highlight: Summur Roberts Receives Elizabeth Bramley CMSA Good Neighbor Award

Mrs. Bramley earned a Bachelors in English and a Masters in education from Loyola University . She has Summur Roberts is extremely deserving of the CMSA Good Neighbor A ward. Summer is one been teaching at CMSA for three years. of the most visible faces of Loyola University to everyone in Rogers Park! Among her many duties and accomplishments, she manages the Community Relations staff and priorities and sets the Mrs. Bramley also has training in teaching English as a second language. She agenda for programmatic initiatives, communication strategies and the development of key became a teacher because she believes relationships in the public sector. Congratulations, Summur! Mrs. Bramely is assistant coach for boys and girls middle school . She lives in the Chicago area with her husband and son.We know she is ecstatic that the Loyola Ramblers made it to their first NCAA Elite Eight Championship!

Celebrating Women's History Month Student Spotlight: Ashlei Jade Camat

Ashlei Jade ("AJ") is currently in 8th grade. She joined CMSA two years ago. AJ likes the academic environment at school and "how the teachers really work with their Lifeline Theatre's Managing Director Allison Cain and Production Manager Jennifer students." Her favorite subjects are math McClendon (pictured above) kicked off our Speakers Series celebrating talented, successful women and art. AJ is also a star player in the in Rogers Park. CMSA hosted women from various career tracks including Engineering, Politics, Law, middle school girls basketball team. In her Medicine, Marketing, Community Relations, and Education which inspired our students to reach new spare time, she enjoys drawing, painting heights. Our thanks to Allison, Jennifer, Jackie Hui, Carolina Juarez, Angela Schuler, Dr. and writing poetry. Jennie Bussell, Trisha Bolthouse, Judge Anjana Hansen, and Barbara Moore (pictured below) for taking time from their busy schedules to join us.

CMSA Ranks as Level 1+ Chicago Math & Science Academy is ranked Level 1+ by Chicago Public Schools. According to their SQRP report, CMSA students made significant gains in key areas:

Reading growth on NWEA MAP* (grades 6-8) = is in the top 15% of schools nationally

Math growth on NWEA MAP* (grades 6-8) = i s in the top 6% of schools nationally

Growth of EPAS assessment series (grades 11 PLAN to ACT) = i s in the top 4% nationally

College Persistence Rate (class of 2013) = 84.6%
