Zur- zeit unterrichtet er als Assistent Teacher an ei- ner Schule in London. Claudio Bundi hat an der Universität Zürich Englisch und Geschichte stu- diert und wird nächstes Jahr sein Studium mit dem höheren Lehramt in Englisch und Geschichte abschliessen. Lucas Schwarz (Musik) Lucas Schwarz ist in Trun aufgewachsen. Er ist ausgebildeter Primarlehrer. Von 2005 bis 2009 studierte er Musik an der Musikakademie in St. Gallen. Sein Studium schloss er im Januar 2009 mit dem musikpädagogisch-künstlerischen Lehrdiplom, Schwerpunkt Jazz ab. Giusep Carigiet (Geographie, Romanisch, Deutsch) Giusep Carigiet ist Sekundarlehrer und Mitei- gentümer der DELTIX SA. Er ist verantwortlich für die Umsetzung neuer Medien im Projekt „Rumantsch Grischun“ und unterrichtete von 999-008 an der Oberstufe in Rueun. An der Uni Fribourg absolvierte er den Ausbildungslehrgang zum IT-Me- diator/Informatiker NDK. Giusep Carigiet hat auch das Zertifikat ALMO (Lehrpersonen mit Medienkompetenz und ICT). Mariarosa Strohbach-Pedrazzi (Italienisch) Mariarosa Strohbach wohnt in Trin und wird ab Schuljahr 2009/0 bei uns ein Teilpensum Italienisch übernehmen. Frau Strohbach verfügt über eine langjährige Lehrerfahrung an der Oberstufe. Seit der Gründung unserer Schule im Jahre 1989 unterrichten Lydia Dienstjubiläum Bapst (Sprachen), Margreth Marchion (IKA) und Christian Hägler (Wirtschaft und Sport) an unserer Schule. Für diese 20jährige Treue 0 danken wir herzlich. Seit 10 Jahren sind Rita Giger Sekretariat und Rektor Iso Tuor an der Schule tätig. Austritte Mit Abschluss des Schuljahres 2008/009 werden Anna Volkart (Deutsch/Englisch) und Gion Andrea Casanova (Musik) die Schule verlassen. Anna Volkart wurde an der Pädagogischen Hochschule GR als Dozentin in Fachdidaktik Deutsch gewählt und Gion Andrea Casanvoa hat ein grösseres Musikpensum an der Klosterschule Disentis erhalten. Der Arbeitsvertrag mit Andrea Pera (Italienisch) wurde im gegenseitigen Einvernehmen auf Ende April aufgelöst. Die Schulleitung dankt den austredenden Lehrpersonen für die an unserer Schule geleistete Arbeit und den Einsatz ganz herzlich. Sekretariat Das Sekretariat der Handelsschule Surselva ist durch Rita Giger (50%) und Urban Tschuor (5%) täglich besetzt. Unser Sekretariat übernimmt auch Büroarbeiten der Gewerbeschule Surselva. Hausdienst Für die Hausdienste und die Führung der Mensa sind Ervin und Ursalina Caminada verantwortlich. Frau Georgina Caderas hilft in der Mensa mit. Schularzt Dr. med. Urs Näf, Städtlistrasse , 70 Ilanz Schulrat Der Schulrat trat in der laufenden Berichtsperiode zu drei Sitzungen zusammen. Der Ausschuss hat sich in mehreren Sitzungen mit den laufenden Geschäften befasst. Mehrmals beschäftigte sich der Schulrat mit der Zukunft der Handelsschule Surselva. Zur Diskussion steht die Fusion aller Aus- bildungsangebote der Sekundarstufe II auf dem Platz Ilanz unter der Trägerschaft der Regiun Surselva. Martin Mathiuet wird als Vertreter der Region die Zusammenarbeit koordinieren. Besuch Bundesrat Leuenberger Am Freitag den 7. November 008 besuchte Herr Bundesrat Leuenberger die Handelsschule Surselva. Seine Anreise erfolgte mit dem Helikopter bis zum Flugplatz in Tavanasa und anschliessend fuhr eine Limousine der Schweizerischen Eidgenossenschaft mit unserem Ehrengast bis zur Handelsschule. Mit etwas Verspätung begrüssten die SchülerInnen und LehrerInnen sowie die Ordensschwestern Herrn Bundesrat Leuenberger in der Aula. In einer lockeren Atmosphäre kamen wir ins Gespräch mit dem Bundesrat und erhielten einige Einblicke in den ausgefüllten Alltag eines Vollblutpolitikers. Nachfolgend gab es viele Fragen aus dem Publikum. bekommen, was einige SchülerInnen sowie LehrerInnen auch taten. Etliche Zuhörer liessen es sich nicht nehmen, das Buch Lüge List und Leidenschaft von Herrn Bundesrat Leuenberger signieren zu lassen. Nach diesem ereignisvollen und sehr interessanten Tag kehrten Herr Bundesrat Leuenberger sowie die SchülerInnen und die Besucher des Abendanlasses um eine Erfahrung reicher nach Hause. Seraina Candinas und Sara Deragisch Nebst aktuellen Fragen wie die US- Wahlen sowie die Energiepolitik, stellte man auch solche über das Buch von Herrn Bundesrat Leuenberger „Lüge, List und Leidenschaft“. Die Vortragszeit war begrenzt und so bekamen einige im Publikum keine Antwort auf ihre Fragen. Doch man hatte die Möglichkeit die Abendvorstellung in der Aula der Stadtschule zu besuchen, um dort die verpasste Antwort zu 20 Jahre Handelsschule Surselva Lernenden, aufgeteilt auf die drei Abteilungen Handelsmittelschule mit 19 Schülern, Kaufmännische Berufsschule mit 4 Schülern und Berufsschule für Verkauf mit 57 Schülern (. und . Lehrjahr). Im Schuljahr 99/9 wurden zum ersten mal alle Klassen geführt. August 984 wurde die Verkaufsschule Surselva als neue Abteilung der Gewerbeschule 000/00 54 - 64 4 6 eröffnet. Der Wunsch der Surselva nach einer 00/00 56 -

    Varietäten und Sprachkontakt in rätoromanischen SMS* Matthias Grünert (Zürich) Abstract As a minority language in Switzerland, the Romansh of the Grisons is exposed to pressure from the dominant language in its region, namely (Swiss) German. Consequently, it has not developed a generally accepted standardized written form, being above all a spoken language, which cedes many written functions to the dominant language. These premises entail a complex spectrum of language variation in informal written use of Romansh in SMS- communication. This variation includes deviations from regional written norms, traits of (dialectal) orality, interference of (Swiss) German, and code-switching to (Swiss) German. Language contact is evident in the fact that Romansh is used for part of an SMS whereas another part of the same SMS sent by the same person may be written in one or even in two varieties of the majority language, i.e. German and Swiss German. Some speakers of Romansh, mainly people who live outside of the traditional linguistic territory, do not write in Romansh at all. It should be noted that the users of Romansh in SMS-communication who participated in this research project are mainly women with university-level educations who are working in the tertiary sector. 1 Das erste SMS-Korpus zum Rätoromanischen Graubündens Im Rahmen des Projektes sms4science ist das erste Korpus von SMS, die im Räto- romanischen Graubündens1 verfasst sind, zustande gekommen. It is the smallest and simplest of the white villas Le Corbusier designed, to fit with his parents limited budget; indeed it no longer appears as a white villa, because structural problems caused by the lake, the cellar and the cheap building materials drove Le Corbusier to face the exterior in aluminum in the 1950s.

    Strasbourg, 15 December 2009 MIN-LANG/PR (2010) 1 EUROPEAN CHARTER FOR REGIONAL OR MINORITY LANGUAGES Fourth Periodical Report presented to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe in accordance with Article 15 of the Charter SWITZERLAND Periodical report relating to the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages Fourth report by Switzerland 4 December 2009 SUMMARY OF THE REPORT Switzerland ratified the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages (Charter) in 1997. The Charter came into force on 1 April 1998. Article 15 of the Charter requires states to present a report to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe on the policy and measures adopted by them to implement its provisions. Switzerland‘s first report was submitted to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe in September 1999. Since then, Switzerland has submitted reports at three-yearly intervals (December 2002 and May 2006) on developments in the implementation of the Charter, with explanations relating to changes in the language situation in the country, new legal instruments and implementation of the recommendations of the Committee of Ministers and the Council of Europe committee of experts. This document is the fourth periodical report by Switzerland. The report is divided into a preliminary section and three main parts. The preliminary section presents the historical, economic, legal, political and demographic context as it affects the language situation in Switzerland. The main changes since the third report include the enactment of the federal law on national languages and understanding between linguistic communities (Languages Law) (FF 2007 6557) and the new model for teaching the national languages at school (—HarmoS“ intercantonal agreement).
