MEGAN MULLALLY AND HER BAND NANCY AND BETH ARE HEADING DOWN UNDER

Megan Mullally (Will & Grace, Parks & Recreation) and Stephanie Hunt (Friday Night Lights, Californication) are coming to Brisbane as the band Nancy And Beth, the punk / vaudeville heart-child of the two friends, for a special one-night only show in the Concert Hall at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) on Wednesday 19 June 2019.

As duo Nancy And Beth, Megan and Stephanie pick dope songs and sing them while dancing and wearing matching costumes. Yes, matching costumes, and next June they’re heading down under to sing and dance up a storm for their Australian debut in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart and Sydney.

Queensland audiences can expect a fully choreographed, non-scripted, tongue-in- cheek experience with a combination of psychic twinship, childlike enthusiasm, rigorous preparation of songs, and zero preparation of what happens in between.

Megan and Stephanie, and the five dollfaces that back them up, have created a musical outfit that is celebratory, surprising, sweet, tuneful, eye-catching, thought- provoking and amusing.

Hailed by Theater Mani as “the most avant-garde show to play the Café Carlyle in recent memory” (Café Carlyle is a legendary jazz restaurant) and “musical misfits” by NPR All things Considered (the flagship news program on the American network National Public Radio), Nancy And Beth has also performed at the Newport Folk Festival, the Grand Ole Opry (a weekly country music stage concert in Nashville, Tennessee), London’s Royal Festival Hall, Solid Sound (a music and arts festival at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art), and many other venues in the US and abroad.
