Nancy And Beth (featuring Megan Mullally and Stephanie Hunt) return to Café Carlyle, May 14-25. The self- described punk-showbiz band has been praised by NPR’s All Things Considered as “musical misfits,” and “as sharp as any revivalist act going today” by The Los Angeles Times. Nancy And Beth’s previous residency was hailed as “the most avant-garde show to play the Café Carlyle in recent memory” by TheaterMania. With a combination of psychic twinship, childlike enthusiasm, rigorous preparation of songs, and zero preparation of what happens in between, Megan and Stephanie and the five doll faces that back them up have created a musical outfit that is celebratory, surprising, sweet, tuneful, eye-catching, thought-provoking, and amusing. The band is comprised of Megan Mullally (vocals, choreography); Stephanie Hunt (vocals); Datri Bean (keyboards, vocals); Joe Berardi (drums); Petra Haden (strings, vocals); Roy Williams (guitar, vocals); Andrew Pressman (bass, vocals).
Performances will take place Tuesday – Saturday at 8:45pm. Weekday pricing begins at $110 per person / Bar Seating: $75 / Premium Seating: $160. About Megan Mullally
Emmy Award-winning actress and musician Megan Mullally has appeared on Broadway in revivals of Grease, How to Succeed (opposite Matthew Broderick), and Mel Brook’s Young Frankenstein. Recently, Megan appeared in Terrence McNally’s smash Broadway hit It's Only a Play, and starred as the role of Adelaide opposite Nathan Lane in Carnegie Hall’s celebrated Guys and Dolls revival. Television credits include seven seasons of the Emmy Award-winning Children’s Hospital, Parks and Recreation (as the Evil Tammy II), Lydia on acclaimed cult favorite Party Down, Aunt Gayle on Fox’s animated Bob’s Burgers, and Karen Walker on NBC’s hit sitcom Will & Grace, for which she’s received two Emmys, four Screen Actors Guild awards and four Golden Globe nominations. In film, Megan stars opposite Bryan Cranston and James Franco in the hit comedy Why Him?, and appears in Oh Lucy!, LEMON, The Disaster Artist, and Infinity Baby. About Stephanie Hunt
Stephanie Hunt is a musician, songwriter, actress and writer from Austin, Texas. She’s a founding member of The Ghost Songs with Alex Maas and Christian Bland, members of The Black Angels. She’s appeared on Friday Night Lights (NBC), Californication (Showtime), Glee (Fox), in the films Somebody Up There Likes Me and Poorboy and was a regular on How To Live With Your Parents For The Rest of Your Life (ABC), and Your Family or Mine (TBS).
